A fire occurred in Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province. A wooden house was destroyed by fire on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at approximately 1:40 PM WIB.

The house that burned down belonged to Hamzah (45), a resident of Seuneubok Peuraden Village, Juli District, Bireuen Regency. Hamzah lived there with his wife and four children.

According to reports, the homeowner was outside at the time of the incident. The house was empty when the fire suddenly broke out in one of the rooms and quickly spread, engulfing the room.

Yuswarni, the victim's older sister, who discovered the fire in her sister's house, immediately called for help from local residents. Residents quickly extinguished the fire and called the fire department.

Upon receiving reports of the fire, one fire truck from the Juli Post and three units from the Bireuen Main Post were deployed to the scene. The flames quickly spread throughout the wooden building, preventing rescue efforts.

Although the victim's house could not be saved, firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading to the home of Mukhtaruddin, a neighbor (48), located next door.

Mukhtaruddin's house sustained minor damage to the door frames and roof due to the heat of the fire, but was generally safe.

The house was empty at the time of the incident because the owner was in Banda Aceh escorting a bride.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, and there were no fatalities. However, Hamzah's house was completely destroyed, including its contents, and no personal belongings were saved.
