Aceh Social Service Holds 2024 Panti Mini Soccer League Tournament.

"Show the world that children in orphanages are also talented and capable in sports," said the Head of the Aceh Social Service, Dr. Muslem, S.Ag, M.Pd when opening and giving a speech at the 2024 Panti Mini Soccer League event held by UPTD Rumoh Sejahtera Aneuk Nanggroe (RSAN).

Head of Service, Dr. Muslem appreciates the inter-nursery league. This tournament provides an opportunity for children who are being trained at the orphanage to channel their talents and passion for playing football, Friday (17/5).

"This is also a form of attention and support from the Government for the interests and talents of Acehnese children in orphanages or UPTD to develop their potential," continued Muslem.

Apart from that, he said, this orphanage league activity is considered positive for children and is a forum for them to channel their hobbies, so that children can avoid deviant behavior.

He hopes that the orphanage league belonging to UPTD RSAN Dinsos Aceh will be the forerunner to holding the same tournament at a higher level at the provincial and even national level.

"Continue to forge yourself and prove that even those of us who come from orphanages are able to compete," said the Head of Social Affairs, encouraging the assisted children.

Meanwhile, the Head of UPTD RSAN, Michael Oktaviano, said that the tournament between institutions deliberately chose the sport of football, considering that football is a sport that is popular with all groups, from children to adults.

Michel also revealed that this orphanage soccer league was the first inter-nursery tournament in Indonesia, and was initiated by UPTD RSAN. This was inspired by the santri league in Indonesia.

"We hope that tournaments like this can continue to be held in the future and become an inspiration for other regions in Indonesia and even throughout the world. "Hopefully one day it will become a prestigious event for children in orphanages," said Michel.

He added, the UPTD RSAN Mini Soccer League will be held for 3 days from 17 to 19 May 2024 at the RSAN field. The age limit for participants who may compete is from 12 to 15 years and comes from institutions/foundations/uptd in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar.

A total of 8 teams have participated, including the Penstun Islam Orphanage, Sos Childern's Village Banda Aceh, Bumi Moro Orphanage, and BTRG Orphanage.

Furthermore, there is the Media Kasih Islamic Orphanage, LKSA Muhammadiyah Supporting House, and PKPU Orphanage. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive coaching money and bonuses from the organizers.

The opening of the orphanage league was also enlivened by the presence of the Persiraja Legend, Nasir Gurumud, who is also the Head of Aceh Social Affairs for the 2012 period, as well as a number of sub-district and village officials, including representatives of Danramil, Sector Police Chief and Darul Imarah Sub-district Head as well as the Head of Geu Gajah Village.
