KONI Bireuen Holds Coordination Meeting to Welcome Pre-Pora 2025 Aceh Jaya.
The Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, Thursday (23/5/2024) held a coordination meeting with sports administrators.
The coordination meeting took place in the hall of the Bireuen Education and Culture Service to welcome the 2025 Pre-Aceh Sports Week (Pora) in Aceh Jaya.
The meeting to discuss various matters was attended by KONI General Chair H Mukhlis, Daily Chair, Drs Murdani, General Secretary Zamzami along with a number of other administrators and sports administrators.
General Secretary of KONI Bireuen, Zamzami in his report said that the coordination meeting was held based on the direction of the Chairman of KONI Bireuen, attended by 100 percent of KONI management and 39 branch administrators from 43 sports in Bireuen, represented by two representatives from each sport.
The meeting was in preparation for taking part in Pra Pora in Aceh Jaya in 2025 around June. "In this activity there will be a question and answer session regarding the readiness and preparation for the Pra Pora later," he explained.
The General Chairperson of KONI Bireuen, Mukhlis, in his instructions, said, among other things, that the meeting was held as preparation for taking part in Pra Pora in Aceh Jaya.
"We both understand that many of our sports administrators are ending their term of office. This muscab can be held immediately so that we can be more active in preparing athletes for Pra Pora," he hoped.
Likewise, the conditions in the management of KONI Bireuen itself also have to prepare new management, because there are administrators who have to resign because they are already involved in politics, becoming organizers of the General Election (Pemilu) both at the Independent Election Commission (KIP) and the Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslu).
On that occasion, the Chairman of KONI also hoped that the KONI management and sports officials from now on would be able to prepare for cadre formation, including the General Chair of KONI Bireuen in 2026 as H Mukhlis' term of office will end for almost two terms.

It was said that at the start of leading KONI Bireuen in 2018 Pora was held in Aceh Besar Regency, the Bireuen Regency team was ranked 18th out of 23 districts/cities in Aceh Province. "Then from joint efforts and struggle, Bireuen was able to reach the top 6 in the Pidie Regency Pora in 2022," said KONI Chairman H Mukhlis.
