The Regent of Bireuen Regency Opens Cultural Week Commemorating Bireuen's 26th Anniversary.
The Regent of Bireuen Regency, H. Mukhlis, ST, opened the first Cultural Week "Mahakarya Bumoe Jeumpa" to commemorate the 26th anniversary of Bireuen Regency. The event took place on Tuesday evening (October 7, 2025) at the Cot Gapu Green Open Space (RTH) in Kota Juang District.
The event, which included a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Expo and various other activities, took place from October 7 to 12, 2025, at several separate locations.
The Chair of the Organizing Committee, Dailami, SHut., M.Ling, stated that the event involved all government agencies, educational institutions, arts and cultural practitioners, and the Bireuen Regency community.
The series of events began on October 7, 2025, with the Opening Ceremony and the inauguration of the Bireuen Struggle Museum, marking an important milestone in preserving the region's history.
For a full week, the public was treated to a variety of development, arts, and cultural activities, including the "Jamboe Meuseunia, Jamboe Peunajoh" Development and MSME Exhibition, featuring 40 MSME tents dedicated to culinary and traditional food businesses.
The Struggle Museum Exhibition, Arts and Culture Appreciation Stage, "Geunta Endatu Kota Juang," Photo on the Spot & TikTok Video Competition, Tourism Photo Competition, Fine Arts Workshops and Exhibitions, and various other activities.
The event culminated on October 11, 2025, with the "Jejak Sejarah Bumoe Jeumpa" Cultural Parade, attended by thousands of participants from SKPK/vertical agencies, schools, state-owned enterprises (BUMN/BUMD), sub-districts, universities, youth organizations (OKP), and community organizations (Ormas).
This event, held in downtown Bireuen, showcased the diversity of local culture and the history of the Bireuen people's struggles. "In the evening, we will conclude the series of activities with an awards ceremony, winner announcements, awarding night, and a closing ceremony," explained Dailami, also Assistant II of the District Secretariat.
Finally, on October 12, 2025, a ceremony to commemorate the 26th anniversary of Bireuen Regency will be held, as well as the Grand Maulid of the Bireuen Regency Government, which will serve as a meaningful conclusion to the entire series of activities, he said.
The Regent of Bireuen, H. Mukhlis, opened the event, attended by Ministry of Culture official Irini Dewi Wanti, Deputy Regent Ir. H. Razuardi, MT, the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), guests and invitees, and thousands of residents.
Tonight, we all gather in an atmosphere of gratitude to celebrate the 26th anniversary of Bireuen Regency, with the theme "Bireuen Advanced, Independent, and Dignified."
This age is a mature phase to strengthen the foundations of development and look to the future with greater determination. The Regency Anniversary celebration is not merely a ceremony, but a meaningful moment.
The goal is to bring joy to the community through a series of activities that touch all aspects, such as the development exhibition and the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that we are presenting.
As a testament to our accountability for our achievements, and a space to promote the development and economy of Bireuen Regency to date, Bireuen is celebrated in dhikr as a form of collective gratitude.
Regent Mukhlis stated that this series of anniversary events will be more meaningful if the community participates in the celebrations in an orderly manner, upholding religious norms, and adhering to established regulations.
"I hope that all levels of society can enjoy each event politely, together, and uphold Bireuen's dignity as a civilized city," Regent Mukhlis concluded.
