RE: Aglaonema Plants

in Steem SEA4 days ago

I’ve fallen in love with tricolor plants lately, especially since I started learning about Kokedama. There is something so beautiful about the way they look in a moss ball.

I’m curious, though—will direct sunlight help these plants retain their pink color, or will it actually make them turn greener?

Also, what kind of soil works best for this? Should I use a succulent mix to ensure better drainage??

Sort:

They are different varieties of aglaonema plants - those with variegated pink/red leaves and those of silver/white leaves. So, the colours come from the variety and not the sunlight.

Normal soil will do. As with most plants, it is okay to be a bit damp. But not too much water or the roots will rot.

I hope that helps.
