The Diary Game - Attending the Hajj Pilgrim Gathering
Hello, good morning, approaching noon and happy greetings to all my Steemian friends. How are you today? I hope you are all in good health and always under the protection of Allah SWT, so that you can carry out all your activities well. Alhamdulillah, I am back to share my daily activities on this happy day.
Alhamdulillah, this Sunday morning has entered the ninth day of the month of Shawwal. I am grateful that after the morning congregational dawn prayer, I was still given the opportunity by Allah SWT to breathe the morning air, even though my health is still not very good. When the call to prayer sounded from the loudspeaker of the Babul Huda Panggoi Mosque, I awoke from my deep sleep. The sound of the adhan is a call for faithful Muslims to immediately fulfill the obligation of obligatory congregational prayers. In the still pitch-dark atmosphere, I left the house and headed for the mosque to perform the obligatory dawn prayer in congregation.
After morning prayers, I returned home and took advantage of the break to lie down again with my son, Raffa, who was still asleep. Sunday, according to the Islamic calendar, is a national holiday and is a highly anticipated time for many people, from students to office workers, including myself as a teacher at a high school in Lhokseumawe City. While civil servants and private employees in the office get Saturdays off, we teachers only have Sunday off each week. Likewise, the students eagerly await the first day of the Islamic calendar.
Six days of non-stop learning at school can be incredibly draining. Sunday is certainly the perfect time to refresh our minds and souls by engaging in various enjoyable activities with our loved ones at home. This bright Sunday, I was able to spend the day engaging in various fun activities with my son, Raffa, after a week of schoolwork. Sunday holidays don't have to cost a fortune to travel far away, just stay at home with quality activities that can strengthen the love between beloved family members. While waiting for my son to wake up, I grabbed my smartphone and checked the latest news from various online media outlets.
The results of several top European league matches were the most interesting news for me. I briefly stepped out of the house to enjoy a cup of black coffee at one of my favorite coffee shops in the Cunda area. An hour later, I returned home and accompanied Raffa to play until the call to prayer sounded, signaling the arrival of the midday prayer (zuhur). I headed to the Babul Huda Mosque to perform the obligatory midday prayer in congregation. Then, my wife and I attended a gathering for the 2023 Hajj pilgrims at a religious boarding school (dayah) in the Lhok Mon Puteh area. That evening, I paid my respects at the site of a friend who had passed away in Uteun Bayi, Lhokseumawe.
That concludes my activities for today, and thank you for the continued support of all my Steemit friends everywhere.
Regards,
@fadlymatch
