The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Distributes Logistical Aid to Flood Victims in Bireuen Regency.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) distributed logistical aid to flood victims in Bireuen Regency, Aceh, on Friday (December 5, 2025). The aid, including from PT PLN (State Electricity Company), was delivered directly to ease the burden on residents affected by the natural disaster.

Residents of Blang Panjoe Village enthusiastically welcomed the arrival of logistical aid in the courtyard of the mosque serving as an evacuation post. They received various basic necessities brought by the central government as a tangible manifestation of their concern for the victims of the regional disaster.

"We would like to express our gratitude to the relevant parties, including PLN and the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bahlil. Thank you for providing us with this kind of assistance," said Deva, a resident of Blang Panjoe Village.

PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) distributed 700 kilograms of rice to meet the urgent food needs of the evacuees. The aid package included 1,400 liters of cooking oil and 700 kilograms of granulated sugar for the village community.

"This is a great joy for us, the people of Bireuen. Your presence brings extraordinary blessings," he said.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia asked all relevant officials to act quickly to address the post-disaster impacts at the location. He ensured that the distribution of logistics and the readiness of public field kitchens were very effective for all displaced residents.

"The President's order is that we must not give up. All our national strength must be deployed. This concerns fuel and electricity, as is the case with what I saw today at the public kitchen," said Bahlil Lahadalia.

The government is taking various concrete steps to restore the power grid amidst the difficult access to the location. Helicopters are being used by technical personnel to transport emergency towers because land lines are completely paralyzed by the flash floods.

"PLN will continue to mobilize all available resources to ensure that the community's needs are met, including social needs. To expedite the restoration of electricity, we have assigned personnel to work around the clock. Hopefully, this joint effort can ease the burden on residents and accelerate recovery in Bireuen Regency," said PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo.

PLN has established eleven public kitchens across several evacuation sites in Aceh province. Four of the kitchens are the result of a strategic collaboration with the Iskandar Muda Regional Military Command to serve affected residents.
