The Regent Simultaneously Inaugurates 49 Village Heads Across Bireuen Regency

A total of 49 Village Heads (Keuchik) from 15 sub-districts in Bireuen Regency were sworn in and inaugurated simultaneously by Regent H. Mukhlis, ST, on Wednesday afternoon (September 17, 2025) in the Old District Secretariat Hall.

The event was attended by the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), the Head of the Bireuen Family Welfare Movement (TP-PKK), the Sub-district Head, and village government officials. The Regent administered the oath of office, followed by the inauguration, the symbolic pinning of office insignia, and the signing of the inauguration minutes.

In his remarks, the Regent of Bireuen, H. Mukhlis, ST, congratulated the newly inaugurated Keuchik. This success is not merely a personal victory, but a significant trust from the community through the democratic process at the village level.

The position of Keuchik is not a gift or power, but a significant trust bestowed upon you by the community.

Therefore, this mandate must be upheld with sincere devotion. Prove this trust with real work, not just empty promises.

The Regent also emphasized several expectations for the village heads: first, "Let us build unity and harmony in the village by embracing all residents without discrimination based on political affiliation. Only with unity can development proceed smoothly and sustainably."

Second, be innovative leaders and be open to collaboration, both with fellow village heads, community leaders, traditional institutions, and government agencies, so that village services and development can meet the challenges of the times.

Third, explore and develop the potential of agriculture, fisheries, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and village wisdom to become independent, advanced, and prosperous villages.

"I reiterate that the Bireuen Regency Government will always provide support, guidance, and mentoring so that village development programs align with the regional vision. I believe that with hard work, sincerity, and togetherness, the village heads can bring real change to their respective villages," said Regent Mukhlis.
