The Regent Supervises the Peak Ceremony of Bireuen's 26th Anniversary.
Regent H. Mukhlis, ST, was the inspector of the peak ceremony (Irup) for the 26th anniversary of Bireuen Regency, which took place on Sunday morning (October 12, 2025), at the Cot Gapu Green Open Space (RTH) in Kota Juang District.
Deputy Regent Ir. H. Razuardi, MT, Forkopimda officials, members of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRK), relevant officials, women's organization leaders, employees, sub-district heads, village officials, and students also attended the ceremony.
H. Subarni, one of the founding fathers of Bireuen Regency, stated in his remarks that the purpose of establishing Bireuen Regency, when it was part of North Aceh, was to accelerate development progress and improve the welfare of the community.
"I hope that as a token of appreciation, I hope that the name of Bireuen Regent H. Mukhlis, the founding father of Bireuen Regency, Drs. Syahbuddin AR, will be used as a street name in Bireuen," he said.
Meanwhile, the Regent of Bireuen, H. Mukhlis, in his remarks, stated that Bireuen has been on a long journey for 26 years, a journey filled with determination, patience, and togetherness.
Every step of the way tells the story of the spirit of our predecessors, the sincerity of its citizens, and the unceasing prayers of the villages that love this city.
"On this historic occasion, allow me to express my sincerest gratitude to the founding figures of Bireuen Regency, the visionaries who sowed the seeds of hope in this land of struggle, who carved history not with ink, but with determination, wisdom, and courage," he said.
The Regent continued, "It was from their hands and hearts that the dream of an independent regency was born and realized. They lit the torch of faith amidst limitations, and to them.
It is fitting that we express our appreciation and sincere respect, because without the foundation they established, we would not stand as tall as we are today," said H. Mukhlis, also expressing his gratitude to other elements of society.
