Two Businesses Burned Down in Samalanga, Bireuen.

A fire disaster occurred in Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province. Two businesses (shops) were destroyed by fire and their contents in Gampong Baro Village, Samalanga District, Bireuen, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

The disaster, which occurred at approximately 9:40 PM WIB, also affected one house and one business (shop). There were no casualties in the fire, which resulted in material losses.

The two shops that were destroyed by fire and their contents belonged to Sumarlaili (40 years old) from Gampong Baro, Samalanga District. The other was an electronics repair shop owned by Siddiq (29 years old) from Gampong Gle Meudong, Simpang Mamplam District.

Sumarlaili's shop operated a grocery store, while Siddiq's shop operated an electronics repair shop. Both of their shops were completely destroyed by the fire, including their contents; nothing could be saved.

Meanwhile, the house that was affected belonged to Rahmi Putra (40), while the barber shop belonged to Kamarullah (25). It is located in Pulo Ulim Village, Ulim District, Pidie Jaya Regency.

The Bireuen Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) deployed three fire trucks from the Bireuen Main Post and one fire truck from the Simpang Mamplam Bireuen Post to extinguish the fire.

According to local residents, the fire suddenly appeared and quickly spread, engulfing both shops. The large blaze caused panic among residents. Upon realizing the fire had broken out, residents immediately contacted the Bireuen Fire Department.

Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters immediately battled to extinguish the flames that had engulfed both shops. They continued to work to extinguish the blaze, preventing it from spreading to neighboring homes and shops.

The firefighters made strenuous efforts, after about 30 minutes of handling, the flames were extinguished and the cooling process was carried out.
