This is a traditional marriage celebration of my friend called Uduak .Uduak is a very young girl at her 20's .She lost her parents so early which made her to stay with her uncle who trained her through secondary school. After her senior secondary Examination she started learning how to sew cloth.One year after she saw her love and got married to him.

This marriage took place In Akwaibom state Nigeria. IN AKWAIBOM marriage rites are performed on that day before the family of the girl wil give out thier daughter .After the payment of Bride price the father and the mother will give thier blessings to the couple.On this day Uduak cried and was happy as well.After the wedding when i asked her why she cried on Her traditional marriage day She told me she remembered her parents. This was an emotional moment to us the friends seeing her cry .

Food was surplus. Akwaibom is known for different type of delicacies such as Ekpan ,Afi-Afere(white soup),Afang soup, plantain with dog meat porridge, rice.

As you can see I was gorgeously dressed to Uduaks traditional marriage ceremony and
It was entertaining as we watch the traditional dancers perform in their wonderful dancing steps. The bride and groom was also given the floor to display their damcing style. It was this time that people were eager to see and the wife won the husband. The friends of the husband that came carried him up to cheer him to dance and not let the wife win.

Celebration are part of life. We have to enjoy the world we were created into. This day was the happiest day for the family of Uduak and her husband.
