Nuggets of Gold
Proverbs, axioms, maxims... they are nuggets of gold. It's a cliché, but also a deep truth (as clichés tend to be). Some of these short phrases have profound lessons which, unless we take time to contemplate, we would have missed the lessons they are imparting.

When I read beautiful and interesting proverbs, I understand that a very long time ago some noble person said them for the first time. And then 100-150 years pass, and we can read and admire beautiful sayings and aphorisms. In a word, the people who lived before left us a lot of interesting and useful things.
