Temporary closing night of the regular Saturday night Islamic study group
Dear friends, admins, and all moderators of our beloved community. May we always be under His protection!
Last Sunday night, before Ramadan arrived, we, the entire congregation of the Sunday night Islamic study group at our village mosque, held a temporary farewell event to welcome the holy month. Our regular Sunday night Islamic study group, comprised of men and women, has been running for decades. However, each time Ramadan arrives, this regular Islamic study group is temporarily closed, with the hope of resuming after Ramadan ends.
The closing night of the temporary Islamic study group at our village mosque a few nights ago was as simple as possible. The female congregation, consisting of women, prepared snacks such as cakes and drinks. Of course, these snacks were distributed to all the participants in attendance at the closing night of the study group.
The lessons taught by our study group teacher at the Saturday night study group consisted of Quranic exegesis and the book "Tawhid Fatahur Rabbani." The Quranic exegesis session lasted from Maghrib until the time of the Isha prayer. The book "Tawhid Fatahur Rabbani" began after the Isha prayer and concluded around 10:00 p.m.
On the eve of the temporary closing of the Islamic study group last Sunday night, we also attended both of them, but we only attended briefly, considering the farewell ceremony, regarding the tauhid.
Before the closing ceremony, the imam of the mosque came to our mosque to deliver a brief sermon to the congregation and apologized to our teacher on behalf of the congregation. The teacher then began the closing ceremony by reciting Surah Yasin from the Quran together. He then offered some advice to the congregation, hoping that after Ramadan, the number of participants in the study group would increase.
The teacher also mentioned that we should practice worship during Ramadan more intensively than in other months. Then, at the end of our meeting on the eve of the temporary closing of the Islamic study group on Saturday night at our village mosque, we held a greeting ceremony between the congregation and the teacher, while the congregation gave gifts to the teacher and each other.
