I never meet old friends nor schoolmates. We lost all contact. I am not even sure if they are in the country or alive. I find it amazing most of you still gather together once a month.

Ten or twenty years is a long time but on the other hand there are places which never change (that is till the moment I arrive again).

There are ten of us in the group. We choose to meet and celebrate each other's birthdays. And then there are special occasions like holidays and New Years. So, we met on average about once a month.

Singapore is a very small country. Land is a precious commodity. Every square inch is put to good use. So, there are always new developements, and buildings - hotels, malls, offices, and housing.

Are there still trees and greenery left? The Netherlands will soon be without if it continues this way.

Yes, there are still plenty of greeneries. Singapore used to be a Garden city. It is now a City in a Garden. Developement of any spare land has got to have areas for greenery in the plan. Maybe there will be a day when we can't afford greeneries. But, that is in the distant future. I won't be around by then. 😊
