Die Hard is one of the greatest action, Christmas, and love films of all time.
It rests easy on my Top 20 Favorite Films List.
The process and evolution of the story, from book to screen is very interesting. This conversation is a must listen for any fan of the film or any film fan in general.
Originally the character situation was a man in his 60's visiting his daughter.
So many people were offered the role before Willis.
We hear specifics on how much of the final writing was done during production by Jeb Stuart, who was brought in secondarily.
Steven E. de Souza, who set the core of the adaptation process in place also tells a neat story about how he came up with the "She's never heard me say I'm sorry" line.
Etc. Etc.
Great stuff indeed.
