INTRODUCTION
Today I will complete this little scientific experiment with my son. My son is a 4th standard student. When I offered the science experiment to my son, he told me that I read in science books that carbon dioxide helps extinguish fires. Now he wants to know how to test how carbon dioxide extinguishes fire. So today we will try this experiment at home with few ingredients.
Experiment and share the step-by-step process with the child. Explain each stage, what it is about, and what is happening at each moment. Don't forget to indicate the materials to be used. |

Preparation for Experiment
Prepare all the materials and small scientists for the test.

Step 1:
Initially, I placed two candles between two glasses made of glass.
2nd Step:
Then my little scientist filled two glasses with water.
3rd Step:
Candles are placed in the glasses filled with water. The candles are set on fire with a lighter.
Step 4:
When the candles were well lit, the little scientist cut the Ino packet with scissors and spread it in the water around the candle in a glass filled with water.
5th step:
A funny and wonderful thing happened when the glass of water in which the powder of Eno packet was sprinkled gradually dimmed and at one point it went out. On the other hand, the other glass candle is still burning. This is because carbon dioxide gas is produced.

6th step:
My little scientist again ignited the extinguished candle with a candle, then put the powder in the Ino packet into the water and the candle went out.
From today's experiment, we learned how carbon dioxide gas ignites fire.

Yes, I achieved the final result in the first attempt. I have never tried this before but in today's experiment, I was able to reach the final result with my little scientist. And this result was amazing.

I was a bit scared at the beginning of the exam. But when I got the final result of this experiment I was very happy. My little scientist is also very happy because he got success in this experiment. He was surprised by the final result. His curiosity was how carbon dioxide extinguishes fire and he was very happy to prove it with his own hands today.
Don't forget to include some photos and videos to capture those special memories where you and the child can be seen, and indicate the child's age. |
