When the heart is at peace
I didn't know love when it came to me.
I didn't know it from words,
nor from promises that quickly fall away... I knew it from tranquility,
from that calm that precedes my heartbeat,
as if my heart smiles before I understand why.
Love isn't a loud voice,
nor a conflict that stories crave.
Love is a hand reaching out to you
when you're about to fall,
a bosom that embraces you without question,
and eyes that say to you:
"I'm here...so don't be afraid."
I learned that love doesn't dwell in houses of fear,
nor does it flourish in trembling hearts,
but rather it's born in the soul that has finally found
someone who understands its silence,
and mends its brokenness without touching it.
Love isn't about finding a perfect person,
but about finding someone who lifts the weight of life from us,
someone who makes the world lighter,
the days gentler,
and the heart more at peace.
And that's why I say:
If love comes to you in the form of a light
unlike any other,
cherish it...because some hearts are unique. ❤️
