Another day on social media, someone gets up, looks at their phone and decides to post a long passage from a religious text, either the Bible, the quaran or any religious book
An hour later, they're in their workplace screaming at the junior employee over a mistake that won't matter in the future and doesn't affect anyone else. The words written and how they live personally are two different things, showing little to no relation whatsoever. It's not about posts, it's about how you treat the person who sells you food on the street. Some of those religious posts are even too long to read. What about how people treat their housemaids? They pray for three hours but cannot pay a fair wage on time, what a strange way to live. Why waste your time with a public display? If you think you can deceive your God that easily, what faith do you think you have?
People sometimes feel the need to act like saints because of social media. It's easier to copy and paste quotes than it is to have patience when someone cuts you off on the road. If the spirit is already not great, it's just noise you're making. The guy who never missed a service, but he is also known for cheating business partners. No one trusts him, even with the big ass Bible he carries.
It is often not going to make you popular to be kind to a nobody. When I see the constant posts, I think there must be something to hide. Some just use religious language to mask a wicked heart. Being quiet and being kind is a better way to live.
Most of the time, these interpersonal relations or empathy are pushed to the back when people are made to think that prospering in religion is the most important thing. Some people regard these behaviours as something that can be washed away with their religious deeds. Securing the afterlife with the religion they have.
