Accidently fixed his life😅
A man ran past a stranger on the street, amd he yelled out, See you next week?
The stranger felt uncomfortable but responded with, definitely.
That was the whole mistake right there.
The man assumed he knew the stranger, and the stranger considered it to be an error and walked away.
The following Saturday, the man returned, along with six other people and they waved as if the stranger belonged to their crew since the beginning of the crew's formation.
And so, the stranger started running with them because they all seemed to be jogging and staying fit.
There was no discussion or fix. The stranger jumped into the queue. He did his best not to trip in front of others who looked like highly skilled runners. They literally looked like they were in the Olympics sprinting competition.
Months later, the stranger is still a part of that group. He cannot even remember the names of the members and it is already too late to ask now. He's been added to their WhatsApp group without his permission, added to their small website without his permission, invited to a guy's night out without his permission.
So, he gave everyone nicknames.
The Ponytail Woman hair guy, the Encouragement Guy, the One Who Always Warms Up.
Now, he is in great shape. His heart became much healthier. He sleeps better than ever before. Each week, he pushes himself harder and does not quit because he's got a team of people that will encourage him.
This all happened unexpectedly, it was never part of his plans. It did not result from a life changing decision or a dramatic experience of any sort, it happened with a simple see you next week. He must have thought he was one of the friends and stranger never asked questions.
Everything happened by accident although thankfully for his good. It could have been a bad group to which he may or may not have quit. That's life, random stuff happening randomly.
