Cringe pick up line from a smooth guy
The has to be one of the worst pick up lines ever but it actually worked on this lady, you wouldn't expect it to but it did.
There we were, my friend and I, having a cup of coffee at a small cafe. It ain't Starbucks, we don't spend that kind of money on coffee unless it's vacation.
Suddenly, this guy approached a girl sitting alone near the window. He came straight forward in what seemed to me like a well rehearsed manner. Bro probably did this in front of the mirror before getting out. It couldn't have been improvision.
He said with a smile. "Are you Google? Because you have everything I have been searching for."
My God, help us from this kind of mediocrity. But for real, it's a good attempt.
We nearly choked on our coffee when the girl looked at him with an unfathomable expression, which said that she was definitely not interested.
But wait, this was not all.
As if nothing happened, he took a seat in front of her without any permission. Then he started speaking of how different he was compared to other men around here. His self confidence was really impressive although the lines was pure BS.
His phone slipped from his hands and landed straight into her cup of coffee.
All eyes turned to them, but the laughter could no longer be kept inside. Everyone, including the waiter, the girl and even me and my friend had to laugh a little. He basically made a fool of himself.
At that very moment things got different.
The pickup line was great was not extraordinary but the self confidence was impressive. What made things happen was a simple coincidence. His phone slipping from his pocket and falling into her coffee created a special atmosphere. She wasn't rude and the coffee was replaced too.
It was not a pickup anymore. There was no longer a man who tried to impress her. He became this regular guy whose phone fell into someone else's coffee. This created a unique bond between the two because it was her coffee not mine. I was just there to laugh, that was my destiny right there, haha.
A quarter hour later, they still talked with each other as if they were old friends. Homegirl was feeling him for real this time
In fact, this incident taught me an important thing. People who are considered to be as smooth talkers are those who stay as far as possible from reality. Real life experiences are what make people come closer to each other.
It didn't work because he was a smooth talker, but it worked as soon as he stopped pretending to be cool.
