America and Oil

There's just so many videos on YouTube and Tiktok making jokes of how America likes oil. If a nation has oil, they say there's a chance America has something to do with them. It's either war or the fact that that nation needs democracy for some reason. How true is that though?

We know the United States has been the world’s number one producer of crude oil since 2018 because of their innovative new mining technologies, but they also import oil from other countries because of cheaper prices and better geologic formations for oil. Not all oil is the good one that the world desperately needs

So that means when there are global disruptions in the marketplace, the U.S. has to adapt integrated systems to make oil.

Crude oil is the world’s number one source of energy and has countless uses like powering our vehicles, heating buildings and making plastics.

There are other leading oil producers in the world like Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Canada. Guess what, U.S has a serious issue with all these nations I just listed. So there's a reason people say what they say about the U.S.

The crude oil produced in the U.S is easier to extract because it is closer to the surface. But because of the variety of crude oil, oil produced in the US may not be the specific type needed to make the products that Americans use. What does that mean to American government? No oil, there goes their way of life. It's easy to do the math as to why they'll do what they do to get the oil.

I wish they would switch to electric and solar but it's not that easy so I've been told. If only they did that, they wouldn't need too much of the oil in other countries. The main reason it's not that simple is that since America is one of the world's largest consumer of not the top consumer, so their energy system heavily depends on it. They will need to rebuild and reinvent their entire energy system to completely do away with the oil. It's a reasonable excuse but what I would say is that it's just a matter of time and the world runs out of oil, why not make the moves now.
