Empathy? I wonder if a high intelligent being needs us for that, we do not even act human to another.
It can also be they just exist or are baffles why the average human is getting dumb, dumber, dumbest and is not able to learn and evolute.
I suppose the aliens are watching us. Maybe they think that we humans are increasingly transforming into beings incapable of even thinking. For everything, we seek help from ChatGPT, and not only that, we create robots and more to do our work. When we have nothing left to do, that's when we'll realize our stupidity, but it will be too late. I don't think a robot needs to work as much as a human with our many needs.
