From Snow to Sun | Arthur Morgan's Untold Adventures, Part 7

After the train robbery mission, we decided to leave Colter. The snowfall had finally stopped, and the weather was just good enough for us to travel. Hosea had suggested a place called Horseshoe Overlook near Valentine, claiming it was a safe spot as long as we stayed cautious. But with Dutch around, I doubted we’d avoid trouble for long especially now that we were on Leviticus Cornwall’s hitlist after the train robbery.

“Arthur, go sit with Hosea on the wagon,” Dutch said, pointing towards the old man, who was already seated. And with that, our caravan set off. Being outlaws, we couldn’t afford any risks because too many people were after us.

A little further down the trail, Dutch called out to Lenny and Micah, who were riding ahead. “Go scout ahead! We don’t want any surprises.”

After hours of travel, we finally left the snowy terrain behind, crossing into lush, green land.

Hosea was in the middle of telling me one of his old stories when suddenly, our wagon jolted and came to a stop. As it turned out, one of the rear wheels had come off while crossing a small creek.

Charles, riding behind us, called out, “You alright there?” He had seen the wagon stop and was now running towards us.

“Does it look alright?” I replied, gesturing at the missing wheel.

Hosea instructed me to roll the wheel over while he and Charles lifted the wagon.

“You sure you can lift that, old man?” I teased.

“I may be old, but there’s still some strength left in me,” Hosea shot back. “Come on, Charles, help me lift this.”

I rolled the wheel into place, and as they hoisted the wagon, I pushed the wheel back on. “All done,” I said, and they let the wagon drop back down. Hosea was panting from the effort, but Charles stood there like it was nothing.

That’s when I noticed something. Up on a ledge, three mysterious horsemen were watching us from a distance. They looked like members of an old Indian tribe.

Hosea placed a hand on my shoulder. “We shouldn’t stay here too long. Looks like we’re passing through their land, and they might see us as a threat.”

We climbed back onto the wagon, this time with Charles joining us.

“Arthur was just thirteen when we found him,” Hosea told Charles. “He was a wild kid, but we trained him right. Now, he’s one of the most important members of the gang.”

Charles turned to me. “What’s the deal with you and John? Why are you two always at each other’s throats?”

“It’s a long story,” I said, brushing off the question. “Maybe I’ll tell you sometime.”

“A little further ahead, there’s a town called Valentine,” Hosea said, pointing forward. “Cowboys and folks like us settle there. It’s a good place to lay low.”

“Let’s just hope there aren’t any O’Driscolls waiting for us,” I replied.

“Over here!” Javier waved at us from the dirt road ahead. Dutch must have sent him to check on us. He had no idea about our wagon trouble.

“Take me with you,” Javier called out. I slowed the wagon, and he grabbed on, pulling himself up. We explained the delay, and he nodded in understanding.

At long last, we reached the location Hosea had suggested. The rest of the gang had already arrived and begun setting up camp. Dutch looked pleased because he liked this spot. As soon as we stepped down, he gathered everyone around.

“We’ve been through hell, lost good people, but we survived,” Dutch said. “If we stick together, we’ll keep surviving. For now, this is our new home, but we need money and food to keep it running. Get some rest tonight, and tomorrow, everyone starts looking for work. Whatever opportunities you find, take them and try to stay out of trouble.”

Disclaimer

Arthur Morgan and the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 might be fictional creations by Rockstar Games, but my love for this game? 100% real. This is a new kind of adventure I wanted to bring to Steemit. I’m narrating the story of RDR2 from the perspective of its protagonist, Arthur Morgan, offering a fresh and immersive take on his journey. Rather than directly copying the game’s dialogues, I’m weaving Arthur’s emotions and experiences into a creative and fictional retelling. You can also experience this story in a cinematic way. I play the game, record my gameplay, edit the footage in the best possible way, and upload it to my YouTube channel. This way, after reading each story episode, you can watch it unfold like a movie.

Hello friend, @waqarahmadshah
Thank you for inviting me to your post, I am impressed by your writing style, I have been reading this series since the beginning, I am very eager to watch any serial, but mostly I like to watch the whole series in one go, I have watched many Turkish drama series, and I feel very sad if I miss even one installment of them. Because some installments of many serials are deliberately removed from the internet. Anyway, I appreciate your efforts, and congratulate you for this innovative experiment, probably in the future this experiment is going to prove to be a milestone for steemit.
Wishing you success.

Thank you. I'm glad you like it!
