Today should be about our book project again: with few words, but lots of links!
When compiling my longlist, I already realised that it would be difficult for me to make a final selection. I didn't want to be unfair to anyone, I didn't want to favour anyone. As editor, however, it remains my prerogative to set the criteria and to include or exclude final entries. Strictly speaking, my criteria are just a single one and are not up for discussion: high quality! Again, my standards are decisive...
My current shortlist is therefore still extensive, but a really good collection of texts that we need not be ashamed of.

I ask the authors to declare their consent to publication in an e-book and a print edition. I also request authorisation to carry out a proofreading in advance. Neither content nor form should be changed; it is merely a matter of correcting existing errors and translation weaknesses.
Please confirm both points briefly in the comments section!
I am specifically mentioning the authors who are no longer active in Dream Steem; if they do not respond to this call because they may have left the platform altogether, their work will unfortunately not be considered for the project:

I'm also delighted that @rashid001, one of our newer writers and professional artists, has agreed to design our book cover. Thank you very much for that! We'll coordinate in more detail soon...

Heute solle wieder um unser Buch-Projekt gehen: mit wenigen Worten, aber dafür vielen Links!
Beim Zusammenstellen meiner Longlist war mir bereits klar, daß es mir schwer fallen würde, aus dieser eine endgültige Auswahl zu treffen. Ich wollte niemandem gegenüber unfair sein, ich wollte niemanden bevorzugen. Als Herausgeberin bleibt es aber mein Vorrecht, die Kriterien festzulegen und final Beiträge aufzunehmen oder eben nicht. Meine Kriterien sind genau genommen ein einziges überschaubar und stehen nicht zur Diskussion: hohe Qualität! Da ist wiederum mein Maßstab entscheidend…

I'm curious, are you willing to disclose how expensive a project like this is going to be? Not even talking about the hours you're putting into this personally, must be a lot, but the self-publishing for starters.
By the way, I'm kinda relieved I didn't make the cut honestly, because I don't feel too confident about my stuff anyhow. Lost all my momentum and did nothing but nested notes the last couple of months.

Of course! There will be exact accounts. My time shouldn't really play a role here - I take it for granted with such projects close to my heart.
In fact, I have "Melvin's last song" on my longlist, so if one of the authors decides against publication or doesn't get in touch at all, you'll take your place ;-))
