RE: First Ever Blockchain Gaming Community Post on Steem
Sweet, I’ll try and keep this in mind for any blockchain games I write about in the future.

Blockchain gaming will be huge in 2020 I think, it is not a bad idea to jump in early. I'll make you a mod if you wish. This is still very early, just today beta communities went live. Many many days to grow are still ahead.
Doubtful I’ll have the time to do anything. I have a couple of projects I’m hoping to kick off in 2020.
I do think blockchain has an interesting place in gaming. Just not sure about the scalability. We have seen in the past blockchains get bogged down by gaming and they by no means had millions of gamers all trying transact at once.
I’m wondering if the solution will be each publisher running their own blockchain. That might make things more in reason for dealing with scalability. That would also deal with unreasonable transaction costs and miners rejecting large transactions if they are unhappy with the amount being paid.
Will be interesting to see in 2020 if any decently sized game developers start to test the waters more with blockchain. So many are rushing into mobile gaming at this point I’m sure some of them who like to get ahead will look for the next big thing.
The way communities are setup is basically like more moderated "new" feed. It is not a huge time investment to be a part of the team, you click upvote and comment if you like. If you ever wish to become admin or mod just say it. I think this will become a fun new part of Steem experience.
Scalability will be one of the big issues for sure, but not next year I think, next year will just turn some heads when they realize the potential to earn while playing games like never before. True scalability issues will come years after.
