Hello Everyone, Good afternoon. Its another opportunity to be here again and am so happy that am back. The topic i will be discussing with us today is "How to deal with Depression". I will be going straight to the topic without wasting much of our time.

Before i start discussing how we can overcome or deal with depression, i will be explaining the meaning of depression and the causes of depression.

Depression is said to be a mood disorder that cause a persistence mood swing, feeling sad, and loss of interest. Depression is like a sickness one need to heal from because it affect how you feel about something, how you behave, how you think and it can also leads to variety of problems, trouble in your day to day activities and sometimes you may feel as if life isn't worth living.

It happen some time when people deny of suffering from depression. This mostly happen when a depressed person is trying to ignore the pain he or is passing through. And this can causes many bad thing, such as being aggressive, over doing everything he or she is doing.

Some people do this most time in order to disagree with people they are feeling depressed but that does not mean they will no go back to the corner of their room to cry. I will be listing some symptoms of depression below for us to know, if you are passing through any of this, you may be suffering from depression.

Although depression my occur to you once in a very long time but people do go through alot during this time. I will be listing below some symptoms of depression.

  • Tearfulness, feeling sad, emptiness or hopeless.

  • Aggressiveness or angry outbursts, fraustration, even over small matters.

  • Tiredness and lack of energy, so even small tasks take extra effort.

  • Feelings of worthlessness or guilt, fixating on past failures or self-blame.

  • Frequent or recurrent thoughts of death, suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts or suicide.

  • Trouble thinking, concentrating, making decisions and remembering things.

  • Anxiety, agitation or restlessness.

  • Unexplained physical problems, such as back pain or headaches, cancer etc.

How to deal with Depression

I will be listing some proven methods that can help You to fight and manage Your depression or can even solve it.

  • Meditation/Prayer -

Spending some time collecting your thought and focusing on the present situation can help you to prepare for the day ahead. Meditating can be done at home or Look for a condusive environment, where you think it can help you to stay focus and not distracting. On the other hand, praying is another way to deal with depression. It make you stay positive. Staying positive will help you overcome negative thinking.

  • Spend Time with Positive People -

Spending time with people who accept you for who you are and who make you laugh has been found to be very therapeutic and effective in dealing with depression.

  • Gratitude -

One of the major causes of depression can be linked to nurturing feelings of discontentment and being dissatisfied with life.

  • Do something you love -

While depressed, it may feel like nothing is appealing or enjoyable; however, forcing yourself to do something that you once loved can help you overcome your feelings of depression.

  • Learn something new -

Learning something new causes you to shift your focus outside your world of negative emotion and dissatisfaction. Not only do you gain knowledge about a new skill, but you also might experience a boost in self-esteem.

  • Sleep -

Sleep play a major role in our entire body. Have you ever notice you feel not too well or you tend to be cranky and irritated throughout the next day. So, separating some time to rest or sleep is very important. It can help you solve depression because once you fall asleep all your worries will also sleep and once you wake up, you feel reboot or refresh to put all depression and negative thought aside.

  • Get into a routine -

Depression cause individual to suffer in think, the person my think the life is not worth living. While some can even think of committing a sucide. So, getting into routine help you to change your forcus and think of something new.

  • Music -

Music is naturally a mood booster. So, listing to upbeat and positive music can take away your sorrow. According to Professor Gold,

Exercise is naturally or a great mood boaster. Research indicates that the neurotransmitter norepinephrine is stimulated in the brain when the body engages in any form of physical exercise. This neurotransmitter is known to be an influential aspect of mood.

  • Practicing Yoga -

Practicing yoga has the potential to greatly improve your mood, self-esteem and also increase your tolerance to pain.

  • Therapy -

Seeking professional help and lightening your burden, according to studies, is a very effective way to deal with depression. A therapist will help you make informed choices and will give you fair and non-judgmental insights.
