INTRODUCTION
Greeting to all my fellow Steemians.
My three week journey with Steemit crypto academy has been great, which this week being third week.

I will be starting this week homework with @gbenga given task.

TOPIC II COVERED: ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BITCOIN NETWORK

HOMEWORK TASK: SEGWIT BITCOIN NETWORK OR LEGACY BITCOIN NETWORK, WHICH DO YOU PREFER

After taking my time to research about the task have come to my decision which I prefer but before I mention let me explain but network.

So let go into the task.

SEGWIT BITCOIN NETWORK
Segwit in full is segregated witness, >is the process by which the block size limit on a Blockchain is increased by removing signature data from Bitcoin transaction.
This process of segwit helps in removing certain part of transaction to help free up space to add more transaction to the chain. Segregate mean to separate while witnesses are transaction signature.
The concept of Segwit was formulated by Bitcoin developer Pieter Wuille.
So segregated witness in short meant to separate transaction signature.
Segwit was developed pertaining to Bitcoin to help increase the block size limit on Blockchain, Segwit also help increase the block size limit by removing signature data from Bitcoin transaction. Segwit was created to be able to add more transaction, so it help solve one of the most pressing problem that Bitcoin face.
Segwit process help change the way data are stored, therefore helping the Bitcoin network run faster and more smoothly, Thus speeding up the response time of transaction. Segwit also provide an electronic address for wallet.

LEGACY BITCOIN NETWORK
Legacy is also a format that has been inherited from the original Bitcoin address that it has maintained since its inception. When the invention arose, the address were slightly modified, assigning a different format to the new users, how ever those user that owned or had the original Bitcoin address can continue to use them without and problem. Legacy address is supported for sending and receiving of Bitcoin in all wallet.

MY CHOOSE OF PREFERED BITCOIN NETWORK AND WHY
Through all my research and explanation I would say the two Bitcoin network are good, with segwit network making transaction fast and easy, with legacy network being the first originated address. All this two network address can be used to send and receive Bitcoin. But not all wallet support this two address, but with legacy address as the original Bitcoin address you can expect it to be support for sending and receiving Bitcoin by all wallet.
However, the case is different for Segwit address because not all e=wallet or service have upgrade to support the Segwit address format.
Well to my decision I would say I prefer legacy Bitcoin network because it supported by all wallet and why because if I use a legacy address I can receive Bitcoin from a Segwit address. Thank you for going through my task God bless you.
