We are delighted in welcoming y'all to this week's Engagement Challenge as we are already into week2. We still have up to four weeks to remain together in the Academy. We hope you will continue to be sharing more of your knowledge about the crypto ecosystem with the audience

Bots In The STEEM Chain

Voting bots in general are designed to imitate or copy the behavior of humans or it can as well be defined as a software automation which is build to fraudulently participate in upvoting and downvoting of contents here in Steemit

Here in Steemit, we have witness so many types of bid-bot accounts that are used in a fraudulent way to upvote/downvote post. There are users who voluntarily participate in this malpractices by delegating their Steem power to this bots in other to receive juicy upvotes in return

We have witness a drastic increase in bots across the internet. Here in Steemit, we have been seeing them for Minnow groups, whales, users trying to get more followers and users trying to get more upvotes.

As far as they are bad bots that exist in steemit, there are also good bots which usually distribute votes to users. This means the creators of such bots didn't create them with bad intension as users don't necessarily need to delegate to such bots before receiving upvotes

Contest Guidelines

Post your articles in the Steemit Crypto Academy community. The participation time is between Monday, June 12th, 2023, 00:00 UTC to Sunday, June 18th, 2023, 23:59 UTC.
The article should be at a minimum of 500 words. You can write more. Your article must be free of any form of plagiarism.
Your article title should be Steemit Crypto Academy Contest / S10W2 - Bots in the STEEM Chain . Add the tag #cryptoacademy-s10w2 and other relevant tags.
Participants must be appropriately following #club5050 or #club75 or #club100.
Participants must be verified and active users on the platform.
The community moderators would be leaving quality assessments on your articles and probable upvotes.
In addition, your article must get at least 10 upvotes and 5 valid comments to count as valid in the contest, so ensure you interact with other users' entries. Do not be involved in vote-buying.

Rewards

SC01 would be checking on the entire 7 participating communities and upvoting outstanding content. Upvote is not guaranteed for all articles. Kindly take note.

At the end of the week, we would nominate top 3 users that had performed well in the contest and they would be eligible for votes from SC01/SC02.

Important Notice: The nomination of the top 3 users in our community is not based on good grades alone, it includes their general engagements (quality and quantity of their interactions with other users' articles) to measure the overall performance. Also note that generally, you can only make one post per day in the Steemit Engagement Challenge.

Hay usuarios que participan voluntariamente en estas malas prácticas al delegar su poder de Steem a estos bots para recibir jugosos votos a cambio.

Hemos sido testigos de un aumento drástico de bots en Internet. Aquí en Steemit, los hemos estado viendo para grupos Minnow, ballenas, usuarios que intentan obtener más seguidores y usuarios que intentan obtener más votos a favor.

En cuanto a los bots malos que existen en Steemit, también hay bots buenos que suelen distribuir votos a los usuarios. Esto significa que los creadores de dichos bots no los crearon con malas intenciones, ya que los usuarios no necesariamente necesitan delegar en dichos bots antes de recibir votos a favor.
