Thank you for stopping by, I suggest that as a blockchain that portrays transparency, steemit should make account statement confidential and strictly for those in the steemit ecosystem i.e before you can view ones account statement you must be user of the steemit platform. I feel it will be pretty much okay by steemians. Verification could also be done to confirm the person performing a transaction especially transactions like powering down to ensure that it is not initiated by other users, transfers, etc. The steemit team has done their best by providing keys with different functionality.
