Hello, @maazmoid123. There are a few basic things you should take note of when participating in the Academy.

Technically, you were only active about 5 months ago, you powered down about 3 months. That being said, you powered up Steem a few days ago are the funds from the power down action not necessarily new rewards or Steem purchases. This entry is the first article you have made after 5 months of inactivity, in essence, you are not an active user. I will suggest you subscribe to your country's community and others, for now, keep writing quality content to prove how genuine your return is, then you may be eligible to participate in the Academy later.

Take note of a few things highlighted here to ensure you are doing the right thing. Unfortunately, your entry into the Academy at this moment would be considered invalid.

IoT has made lives very easy and there is no doubt about that, you can imagine people controlling their home appliances remotely, even choosing the best route before leaving the house and many others.

I also agree with you on supply chain management, this is a very good one as supplies from two parties can be signed and with a tracker on it, when it reaches the destination, the transaction will the settled, that's the benefit of blockchain in IoT.
