Delegation has been a widely used festure and term on steemit. It has been useful when used in the right way, many users and communities have grown by means of it. And this week's contest for crypto Academy community is really interesting as we will be explaining what we understand by delegation.
I'll take the answers to the following questions:

Explain in your own words the delegation process on the Steem blockchain, how does it work? What are its main goals? And Is it a safe process?

Delegation in steemit mean lending one's SP to another user or community account.
Delegation is just like when we lend someone our money in real life, we give them the permission to use our money for some reason, but it is still ours and we can take it back at the agreed time or when we want it.

So when we lend our SP to another user account, we give the account permission to use our Steempower to perform voting activities on steemit amd also earn the reward that come with it.
The Steempower still belongs to the owner, and he can decide to take it back at any point.

  • How it works
Delegation is made to support a new user, or community account, helping it to grow. When the steem power is delegated to the user or community, he can use it as if it were his own steempower. He can earn curation rewards by using the Steempower to vote.

The goal of delegation is to help a user or community to grow his own steempower and increase it's voting amount.

Is delegation a safe process?

Yes, surely delegating our SP is a safe process because the delegatee cannot tamper with the steempower by transferring it or powering it down. The owner has the right to take it back at anytime he wants and the delegatee cannot stop the process. So with this we do not have to worry about the steempower we lend to others since it is still in our own possession.

Steps to delegate our steempower

To perform delegation is very easy. We can do it using the steemworld.org tool

First Step: Type in steemworld.org/your username in your browser
Second step: Scroll down and click on Delegation

Next we click on the delegate option

Next box that will appear is where we put the account name and amount we want to delegate. In the screenshot below, The red arrow is for the delegatee, the green is for the amount

After that we click on ok, put the active key to validate the delegation.

Have you ever delegated SP amount to a user or community before? If so, tell us, did you do so voluntarily or at the request of the party you delegated to it? And why did you withdraw your delegation?

Yes previously I have made some delegations to a few communities. I made thise delegations because I wanted to support the community and to help them grow their steempower.
For me it was always voluntarily, but some at the request of the party.
I had withdrawn many delegations for some reasons, for some because the community has powered down so I have to take back my SP.

Do you delegated SP without worrying about using it as long as you collect your daily or monthly fees?

My delegating my SP is totally voluntary, so whether I receive upvotes or payment or not, if I want to support someone i will do it from my heart.
I do not worry about using something I've lent to someone else, so lending my steempower is not a problem. But I think the delegation rewards doesn't hurt either

Are you with or against the SP delegation to the communities? Why? If accepted, on what criteria will your choice of society be based?

No I'm not against SP delegation to communities. This is because the delegation helps to make the communities stronger and increase the amount of support they can give to other users.
When communities receive delegation it helps them to keep growing their own steempower because a community with high steempower is a strong community.

For me my criteria will be a community with a strong team, good cooperation and consistent. Made up of honest people who are determined to grow and to support others not just themselves. These are the types of team I want to give my delegation.

Are you with or against the SP delegation to users without benefits in return? Why? If you agree, on what criteria will your choice of user be based?

Yes I'm not against giving delegations to users especially to new ones who are just starting on the platform. These ones have nothing yet to offer us so it will be out of our benevolence to lend them our steempower to grow. And while these ones keep growing they'll also be able to support others with their votes.
So my criteria for giving delegation to a user will be if he is still new and he needs more resource credit to keep doing his activities.

The weight is reduced because of the lack of Voting Power. If you vote for me as a witness, you can get my little vote.

Madilyn02 I must commend you on your exceptional post about delegation on the Steem blockchain. Your expertise and clarity in explaining this complex concept are truly remarkable. The way you presented both the advantages and risks of delegation along with practical steps for implementing it demonstrates your thorough understanding of the topic. Your writing style is engaging making it easy for readers to grasp the intricacies of delegation. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and insights

It is true that choosing who to delegate to is a matter of personal preference, and everyone has the freedom to do so. I appreciate your help with my participation.
And I have also made my post regarding this competition, if you want, you can come to my post and express your views.

It's great that you're open to giving delegations to new users on the platform. Providing them with SteemPower can help them grow and support others with their votes. Your criteria for giving delegations to users who are new and in need of more resource credits is a thoughtful approach. By supporting them, you can contribute to their growth and the overall development of the community.

I'm very glad to read your publication that you are open to delegate your Sp to your favorite communities and don't feel hesitation. You clearly shared your valuable points with us about delegation. Success to you 🤗

Hi, @madilyn02

Selain anda menjelaskan informasi tentang delegasi, hingga memberi tutorialnya. Anda juga membagikan pengalaman tentang kriteria komunitas yang bagus untuk didukung dengan SP yang kita miliki.
