What Is Coinmarketcap.com?

Multiple exchange platforms are there which the traders are being using to perform the transactions. Each exchange platform have some common features and some unique characteristics.

The Coinmarketcap is a bright name in crypto world. This is very popular and famous platform where plenty of verified crypto currencies are offered. This platform was created in 2013. 10799 currencies are available on the Coinmarketcap.com. This provide a lot of features for traders to perform the trading successfully.

This platform give you information about any available crypto currency like the price of that, market rank, market capitalization etc.

Besides these, Many other information about crypto assets is there. You can earn heavy profit on this exchange through different strategies. If you want to perform the transaction, then this platform is best as it support the well known and verified coins. Moreover you can perform the analysis on coins too on this platform. You can get complete information about ny coin just clicking on it or searching it.

A list of indicator is also there. You can get the trading view of any coin.

When you login to this platform, first thing what you will see is the information about the Coinmarketcap. It will show how much currencies are currently available on this exchange, Market cap, etc. The information provided on this platform help the traders to take the trading decisions.

Here the currencies are listed on the base of the price. The information which this provide you about the assets is price, market capitalization, Volume (24h). Circulating supply is also given on this platform. The daily volume and change in crypto assets in last 24 hour is also mentioned here. Now i will explain each of them one by one.

1- Price: The current price of all the available currencies are provided here on the Coinmarketcap platform. You can access the price freely. If you want to see the price of any crypto asset, just search that and you will get the live price of that coin.

The prices are shown is dollar. But The more interesting part is, the prices are not shown only in US dollar. You can see it according to you local currency too.

2- Market Capitalization: The total value of an asset which has been mined is known as the Market Capitalization. On the Coinmarketcap, the crypto coins are ranked according to their market capitalization. The total circulating assets and the price of that asset is use to calculate the market capitalization of that asset. If the amount of asset in circulation increase, the price is also increase. Then this effect the market capitalization in positive way and market capitalization of that asset rise. And market capitalization decrease when the amount of asset in circulation and price of that asset decrease.

You can see that the market capitalization of Bitcoin is highest, so it is at number 1. Then the Ethereum is listed on number 2 as it's capitalization is less than bitcoin. And other assets are listed according to their market capitalization.

3- Trading Volume(24):

The traded volume is actually the volume of an asset which has been traded on all the exchanges which are listed on the Coinmarketcap in last 24 hours. This information helps the trader to get the information about how much transaction of the coin is performed in last 24 hour. The high the trading volume mean the more the variation in the coin price. So the trading volume also help the trader to make the decision whether or not they should invest in the coin.

4- Supply:

The total number of asset which is available to traders for trading at the run time is known as the circulating supply. The supply also effects the price of coin. The more the supply, the less the price. Because if the supply increase, this decrease the demand and thus the price fall.

Chart pattern of seven days: The graph helps the traders to get to know about the direction of market. It guided the traders about the market trends. You can see the chart of any coin available on coinmarketcap of 1 day, 7 days, 1 month, 1 year and all the time.

The above is the ethereum all time chart. You just need to set the time according to your own.

Watchlist: The Watch list is the another amazing feature of the Coinmarketcap. We all know that plenty of coins are available on the Coinmarketcap and it become hard to check them all one by one or to check. So using this feature, the trader can have a full check on the market trend of his favorite coin.

By clicking on the start on the side of the coin add that coin in your watchlist. You can easily then access that currency and can check that from Watchlist.

Portfolio: All your assets are placed in your Portfolio. You can see how much lose you have in your investment or how much profit you gain for your investment in portfolio. You are actually monitoring your investments and assets which you have owned in the Portfolio.

Explain the Individual Page for each Crypto Coin on CoinMarketCap.

A list of crypto currencies is given on the front page of Coinmarketcap. If you want to get the complete information about any currency, just click on it or search it in the search bar, a page having all the information about that currency will be appeared. You would get the market price, market capitalization, Circulating supply. chart and many other information about that coin. Let me explain it using the ETHEREUM coin.

Firstly i would click on it and a page will appear contain all information about ethereum.

Overview:

The overview section help the user to access the chart of the coin. You can see the the trading view too in overview section. You can see the market behavior of the coin easily. You can see the 1 day chart, 7 days chart, 1 month chart, 1 year chart and all the time chart. This help the traders to find out about the market trend of asset.

You can get the trading view of coin too.

Market:

This section give you information about all those market where this asset is being available. The market where the Ethereum is listed will be shown just by clicking on the market button. Along with trading pair, you would also get the pairs for the coins available on the markets to trade for traders. The below list is showing the exchange where the Ethereum is available for trading. The pairs of Ethereum for each market are also shown.

Historical Data

This section show the history of the coin. You can get the information about the movement of price on the daily basis. It shows you the opening and closing prices of coin for each day. You also get what was the market capitalization of the coin for today.

Holder

This section tell you that the total number of account which have been holded the coin currently. The active addresses of holders is also shown in this section. It tell you how much account are holding the coins right now. But this feature is not available for Ethereum.

Wallets

We know that the Wallets are use for securing your assets. You keep your assets in wallet which you have not been invested. Buy clicking on that, you would get the wallets which are suitable and available for your coins. Not all the coins have the wallet.

News:

In this section, you will find all important news about your coin. All the latest news about the asset are placed in this section. You will get to know about the latest update about the coin. This section is also important as by reading the news, they traders get the idea what is happening in the the market.

In the above screen short, you can see that the news section is further divided into Latest news and Alexandria part. The latest news part consist of latest news about coin while the Alexandria part, users get the more about the coin.

Social:

Here you would get the links of all those social media platforms where the dicussion about the coins are held. You will get the trending news about the coins in this section. People are free to share their views about the currencies in these dicussions. You can join them just by clicking them.

Rating

In this section, the rating of the coin in market is given by using the multiple factors such as user activity, developer behavior and market maturity of a crypto asset.

Analysis:

We always perform the analysis which helps the traders to get the idea about the market direction. By analyzing, you get to know the whether there will be bearish period or bull period.

Price Estimate

The last but not least section which provide the information about coins to the traders on the coinmarketcap is Price Estimate in the list. Here the price of any coin can be estimated for future.

This section give you the information about all the available currencies on the Coinmarket cap. The information you get from this section is about ranking Recently Added, Legal Tender Cointries, GlobalCharts, Fiats/ Companies Ranking, Spotlight, Gainers /Losers, Historical Snapshots.

Ranking

The coins are ranked by default on coinmarketcap according to their market capitalization. The coin having the highest market capitalization is at the top and then the coins are listed in ascending order according to their market capitalization.

Recently added

This section give you information about those coins which are added recently on the coinmarketcap.

In the above screen short, you can see the recently added coin. You can get about the price, market capitalization, volume, supply etc about that coin too in this section.

Legal Tender Countries

This section will provide you information about the currencies status in different countries.

Exchange

Another important section on coinmarketcap is Exchange. In this section, all those exchanges are listed which are available on the coinmarketcap.

It also has some sub feature such as Spot, Derivatives, Dex, Lending.

Spot

By clicking on this sub feature of Exchange, a list of al those exchanges will be appear which offer you the Spot trading facility. The exchanges are listed in ascending order. The Binance is at top with exchange score of 9.9.

You can see that the information is given about the spot exchanges for the traders to choose oneof their own choice. The information about the spot sxchnages which is given is volume, Average liquidity, weekly visits, markets, coins, fiat supported and their credit score

Derivatives

This section gives you a list of exchanges which are ranked according to their trading volume. The binance is at the top with trading volume $57,941,986,140.

Dex

This section give a list of decentralized exchanges. A certain method is use to rank the exchange in this section. Uni swap and Pancake are at the top with high trading volume. for last 24 hours.

How or when Coinmarketcap.com decides to list a Coin?

Visit the Listing criteria website and you will get the more deep information about what is criteria in coinmarketcap to list a coin.

The online method is use to apply for listing on the coinmarketcap. Some points are needed to considerate by the user for acceptance of application. He should provide the verifiable information about the coin. Then in decision making process, basically three main rules are being followed.

Reliability

The user need to support his claim by using the proper evidances.

Verification

The information which the user have been provided about the coin must be from some reliable source.

Methodology

The application must be submitted according to the method which have been provided for application submission.

after submitting the application, some other points are taken into consideration by the authorities to decide whether or not it should listed on the coinmarket cap.

1-This coin must allow the people to trade this coin. The buying and selling facility of this coin must be available to traders n the order book.

2- All the important information about the coin should be available on the coin website. It will helpful for traders.

3- The coin should be in active position for two months.

4- The traded volume is quite important.

5-There must be a powerful and active team behind the coin.

6- The coin must need to fulfil requirements of the current era.

7- The trading pairs must be visible to the users. The users should have access to the trading pairs without any fee or without even performing the login process.

8- The project should be suitable for long period of time

9- The project should have some feature which make it unique from existing one.

10- The coin must be traded on at least one exchange platform.

The topic isn't end here. Because a coin need to meet many other requirements too. These are the main.

1- The application for listing an exchange on Coinmarketcap can only be submitted online.

2- The exchange must have an active website. All the information about the exchange must be given on the website for traders.

3- The information added in appliation must be from reliable sources.

4- The exchange must be in running and operational position for last two months.

5- Must have a direct link for all the available coins.

6- It must submit a summery where the ending and last price and trading volume of all currencies for last 24 hour should be mention.

7- The name of the Exchange must be clear and visible

8- There must be a representative of exchange to whom the coinmarketcap able to contact.

All the above point should be taken into consideration while submitting an application to list an exchange on Coinmarketcap. After submitting the application, the review process started.

2- This exchange must bring some innovative ideas. It should be unique in term of features from existing exchanges.

3- Users should have inetrest in trading over this market

4- The exchange platform should come with long lasting ideas. It should be long term project.

What is the purpose of the Uniswap feature on the Coinmarketcap.com site and how a trader can use it?

Unisawp is a decentralized exchange platform which is listed in the coinmarketcap.com. Over this platform, the users are allowed to transact the of their own choice based on the Ethereum. This is most commonly used decentralized platform where the swapping is done without the interference of the middle man.

Using Dex, the traders can easily Swap the ERC-20 token within short period of time. There is no need any third party to complete the task as it is decentralized platform. The decentralized wallets are required if you want to access this exchange. If you get the access to the decentralized wallet, then you are allow to swap the ERC-20 tokens of your own choice.

How to use Binance Coin explorer 

The above i mentioned the way to access the blockchain explorer which are available on coinmarketcap. You can choose any among them. I will chose Binance coin for this task.

Click on the three dot to explor more information about Binance coin blockchain explorer.

I select the view transactions and a list of transaction with other information will appear.

You can see that along with Transaction,

there is another feature named as block. Click on that.

You will see here the information about block such as block heigth, Hash Id, transactions etc.

If you click on any of Block, the complete information about that will be open.

Conclusion

In this lecture, I firstly explain in detail what the coinmarketcap is and which features are being there to the traders. This platform helps the traders to trade thousand of currencies under one roof. You can get information about any currency free of cost. This is most widely used platform.
