Advantages and Disadvantages of NFT Games

Advantages
Here players earn and own the NFT assets. These come in form of collectibles and other rewards that are truly owned by players on the platform. This is unlike traditional gaming where users can only view their scores or rank without ownership of any asset.

The NFT earn and owned are pegged to the user’s account. That way, there can’t be a loss due to shut down because the asset is in the user’s wallet. Furthermore, the assets can’t get lost through theft.

This is unlike normal games where there are no assets and points earned can be lost if the application is uninstalled.
Monetizing the assets is another great advantage that is absent in normal games.

1. Transfer of ownership: a player can sell his NFT to another player, thus transferring the ownership to another player. This is not possible in normal games, as you can’t transfer your points to another.

2. Uniqueness and security: collectibles in NFT games are unique and secured, thus they cannot be duplicated or possessed fraudulently.

3. Transparency: Every owner and the history of the acquisition of the assets can be traced on the blockchain. This is not obtainable in normal games.

4. It offers investment opportunities: Investors can buy the NFT from the platform and stake for higher values in the future. Gaming is also an investment, as more earning comes from playing.

Disadvantages

1. Most NFT games are expensive to start. Thus, most potential gamers get scared away by the amount of money they need to start.

2. As the NFT gaming industry evolves, hacking is imminent and the presence of fraudsters in the industry can scare investors away.

1. FEWOCIOUS: this is 18 years old NFT artist who has made tremendous waves in the NFT market. He has sold a total of 3,103 NFT pieces with an average of $5,812.16 each. His Total Artwork Value is $18,037,594.08.

1. MAD DOG JONES: Born in Canada, Mad Dog Jones is a dynamic NFT artist who combines music and art in his works, he has sold a total of 1,567 NFT artworks, averaging $9,063.52 apiece. His Total Artwork Value is $14,344,607.33.

1. HACKATAO: He is a crypto artist who explores issues of environment, society, cryptos, and humanity. He has sold a total of 1,504 artworks sold at an average of $7,310.61 apiece. His Total Artwork Value is $11,113,676.85.

5.3LAU: Justin Blau who goes by the name 3Lau has been releasing electronic music since 2011. He is one of the early adopters of crypto and is now a leading name in NFT collections. His core area is music NFT and has sold 6,090 artworks to date, averaging $1,505.54 each. His Total Artwork Value: $9,161,894.41.

Here, we will be exploring Mist, an NFT gaming platform supported by Steam and Binance.

Mist is an open-world combat game. It contains a great core of fighting and questing mechanics. The game is full of adventures and features as will be discussed later here.

MIST is the official token for the Mist NFT gaming network. It has a total/maximum supply of 1,000,000,000. At the time of writing, the market cap is $4,855,057 and the current price is $0.086118.

The token is built on Binance Smart Chain and the contract address is 0x68e374f856bf25468d365e539b700b648bf94b67. As such it can be bought on Pancakeswap.finance DEX using Metamask or Trust Wallet.
