1. Describe in your own words the main advantages and disadvantages (Pros and Cons) of NFT Games in relation to other types of games?

What are NFTs?

The term "non-fungible token" refers to a token that's not fungible. A non-fungible token is a one-of-a-kind representation of an asset. This token cannot be exchanged for another. Bitcoin, for example, is interchangeable (albeit not as fungible as USD cash), meaning that your bitcoin and my bitcoin reflect the same asset and value, but a non-fungible token cannot be interchanged and can have various values. The blockchain gaming business isn't the only one that uses non-fungible tokens. These tokens can be used to represent both digital and physical assets, such as artwork, real estate, collectibles, and even personal identity. As a result, NFTs offer a diverse set of applications that appeal to a variety of sectors and use cases, and their adoption is rising. NFTs have few distinguishing properties that set them apart from most other digital tokens such as rarity and non-fungibility

Rarity: One of the most important aspects of what makes NFTs valuable is their rarity. In the CryptoKitties game, for example, players gather and breed digital cats, each of which is represented by a unique NFT. Some of these CryptoKitties are regarded as uncommon collectibles, which drives up their price among collectors who value their proven rarity. Dragon, a CryptoKitty, was sold for 600 ETH in 2018, which was the equivalent of $170K at the time.

Non-fungibility
Each NFT may be a cryptographic token that symbolizes something unique or non-fungible, which suggests it can't be exchanged for an additional NFT. On the blockchain, the metadata contained within each NFT exists as a permanent, unalterable record. This record specifies what the token represents, also because of the token's ownership history and transaction history, like a certificate of authenticity (title). Many cryptocurrencies, like bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH), and other utility tokens, on the opposite hand, are fungible, meaning that one BTC is effectively adequate to the other, they aren't unique during this sense.

What are NFT games?
NFT Games also referred to as Blockchain Games, are Play-to-Earn games supported blockchain technology that employ the important property of products or attachments (genuine item ownership), which is employed within the technology that's at the guts or within the essence of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. Through NFT games, players can gather, sell, buy, or exchange unique and unrepeatable items.

NFTs are quite just a digital version of trading cards. they will vary or modify over time like digital commodities, and that they can serve a spread of purposes. Analog cards, on the opposite hand, are static, don't alter over time, and may lose value if they degrade during play.

Participants in NFT Games receive one-of-a-kind NFTs as a gift for completing the game's objectives. These NFTs gain value over time as a result of blockchain-based transactions and things are transferred via smart contracts that send NFTs to players automatically.

Advantages of NFT games

• In-Game Asset Ownership and Control: Using NFTs in gaming allows you to own all of the game's collectibles and assets, as well as have full control over them in a decentralized system. This is not the case with traditional gaming systems, which merely allow you to access your game assets regardless of how much you paid for them. Furthermore, each of the items can have a unique identity that will be tied to your account for as long as you hold them, and you will not lose them if the game provider shuts down the game because it is stored in your wallets. This enables customers to store their possessions safely and without the worry of theft. Another significant advantage of NFT ownership includes monetizing assets and trading them on markets in exchange for crypto or fiat.

• Ownership Transfer: A player can sell his gaming collectibles at any moment and receive a fair price for them. By transferring ownership, the buyer becomes the current owner, and the transaction is recorded on the blockchain.

1. Security and Individuality: Assets cannot be reproduced since they are non-fungible, they cannot be possessed fraudulently, and they cannot be lost when a game closes because they are transferable and may be stored in wallets such as Trust wallet and MetaMask.

• Opportunity to Invest: Because of NFT's peculiarity in gaming, it provides a major investment opportunity in game collectibles, whereby, especially scarce objects that others want and need can skyrocket in value, giving the owner a very strong Return on Investment (ROI).

Disadvantages of NFT games

• Blockchain Technology's Environmental Consequences: The underlying blockchain technology that supports NFT's construction has a substantial environmental impact, which is a notable drawback. Minting digital data, like cryptocurrency, necessitates a substantial amount of computing power. The energy consumed by computers and servers, as well as cooling equipment, to mine and run cryptocurrency systems is equivalent to a million transatlantic trips. As a result, increasing the use of NFTs would increase the current energy requirements of blockchain technology. Keep in mind that the world's electricity is still generated through the use of fossil fuels. The main cause of the ongoing climate emergency is greenhouse gas emissions from the use of fossil fuels. Even renewable technology comes at a price in terms of the environment. The shortcomings of blockchain technology are fundamentally inherited by NFT.

• While this may not be true, art theft is becoming more of a problem with NFTs: There have been cases of artists finding their work on online marketplaces and having it promoted as NFTs without their consent in the previous six months,' says Raccoon. The value proposition of NFTs is that the proof of work assures that your original object has a unique token linked to it, ensuring that the person in possession of the original is aware of it. The problem is that someone could take a JPG and sell it on a different platform with a different token.' There is no such thing as a "one-of-a-kind."

In March 2021, Beeple, alias Mike Winkelmann, sold his work Everydays – The First 5000 Days. It sold for $69.3 million, which is the highest price ever paid for an NFT. The sculpture is a true labor of love, with Winklelmann compiling one artwork per day for 5,000 days, starting in 2007. Winkelmann is still working on the project, using applications like Cinema 4D and Octane.

The art ‘Genesis’ was nominated for the best NFT art prize at the NFT awards, it sold for $111,377, making it the most expensive piece of NFT art at the time. It was made by Trevor Jones and Jose Delbo.

It's a hand-drawn Gucci ghost, as the name implies, and it wasn't created by Gucci, but by multi-disciplinary artist Trevor Andrew. Andrew has carved out his own identity for himself by interpreting the Gucci Ghost in a variety of mediums, including neon lights, pop art-style prints, and sculpture installations. And in February 2021, this shivering GIF-ghost created a name for itself by selling for $3,600 on the NFT market.

My DeFiPet denotes a type of virtual pet game that blends fantasy, collectibles, and your own personality. It runs on Binance Smart Chain and KardiaChain, which are both supported networks. Monsters can be bred, traded, and collected in My DeFi Pet. In addition, gamers can participate in in-game events for a chance to win real money prizes of up to 100,000 USDT. The game's name is made up of three pieces, each of which is unique to the game. These are the following:

• My - This is considered to reflect the game's customization features.

*DeFi - DeFi features are used by DPET to reward gamers.

Every hour, a new monster is born, according to the game's description. As a result, players can bid to buy or collect this monster. The for these items will be open for 24 hours. The monster is returned to the Altar if it is not collected by the conclusion of the time limit. You can still summon the monster from the Altar for 100 DPET tokens if you miss the bidding. Furthermore, the monsters have distinct characteristics that are usually determined by their genes.

If you would like to feature new features to a monster, you'll breed two monsters with the features you would like and produce a replacement generation. Both parents' genes are going to be present within the baby.

A monster's evolution and skills will differ depending on how uncommon it is. As the monster matures, it takes on various forms and gains new abilities. There are other ways to evolve your monster, but the most frequent is to train or feed them DPET tokens.

Using The Metamask Smartphone Application, Binance, And Pancakeswap

Step one: This involves you installing the metamask application and clicking the create account icon. You'll be required to fill in your email address and a password, which will be a combination of alphabets and numeric, and click create A 12-word seed phrase will appear. Seed words should be saved in a file or copied to a safe location. This will help in recovering your account if you forget your password

Connecting MetaMask to the Binance Smart Chain: Click the 3 horizontal bar icon at the top left corner of the screen and a list of icons will appear. Find and click on 'Networks'. The parameters to put in for each are listed below.

Step two: Click on BNB and the receive option. This will enable you to copy your receive address.

Step three: Using Binance as the receive platform. Open your Binance mobile app or Visit Binance's website (https://www.binance.com/en) On the top right corner of the screen you will see the receive icon, after clicking this icon you will be required to choose between crypto or fiat. Choose the crypto option and select BNB as the coin. Paste your BNB receive address which you initially copied from the metamask application into the receive address on Binance. Ensure the network is BEP20 and complete the transaction. The BNB will appear in the metamask account after few minutes.

How To Buy Dpet Token In Metastack (Via Pancakeswap)

Step 1: Open your metastack app and click on the menu tab on the top left corner of the screen and click on a browser.

Step 2: Type ‘pancakeswap.finance’ in the search bar. Immediately it opens proceed to connect your wallet with Metamask by clicking connect wallet on the top

Step 3. Click on the Menu tab on the left top corner, click trade and then exchange in the drop-down bar.

Step 4: To add our DPET token, we need to get the contract address.
This can be gotten from 'coingecko' site as you readily type DPET in the search bar and scrolling down, click show contract address. Proceed to copy the BSC address and return to pancakeswap..

Step 5: Select the token you want to trade for the token you want in the top field. We'll go with BNB. Search for the token you want to buy in the bottom area, or choose it from the drop-down menu in this case (DPET). Paste the copied BEP20 contract address into the search bar and proceed to add DPET

• You're now ready to place your order. You can either enter a number in the top area to indicate how much you want to spend, or a number in the bottom field to indicate how much you want to buy select 'Swap' from the drop-down menu.

• Your wallet click will then prompt you to confirm the transaction.

• Confirm the transaction when you're ready, and it'll be processed. Your tokens will appear in your BEP20 wallet once this is completed.

Conclusion
NFT games have come to stay, considering the fact that the advantages are weightier than the disadvantages. The non-fungible tokens are very much a viable means which crypto enthusiasts can use to generate income in various ways such as playing the MyDefiPet game and converting their arts into digital forms to be sold as Non-fungible tokens. Because of NFT's peculiarity in gaming, it provides a major investment opportunity in-game collectibles, whereby, especially scarce objects that others want and need can skyrocket in value, giving the owner a very strong Return on Investment (ROI). For we know the scarcity of tokens skyrockets its value.

Thus, this is a window and an eye-opener to Blockchain experts and smart contract developers that tokens can serve numerous purposes, from trading to earning currency and even selling them at auctions. For NFTs, their major source of value is their rarity which at the moment is a golden opportunity and security for cryptocurrency investors.
