Make every calamity an opportunity

in HeartChurch3 years ago

Greetings to all the brothers of the HeartChurch ministry. My message to share with you on this day is related to the great opportunities that we can extract from the calamities that we may be facing and obtain positive things for our lives.

Talking about calamities leads us to consider the life of a great servant of God who went through multiple difficulties related to the financial, family and health areas. It is about Job, who despite being a fearful and upright man before God, faced multiple calamities, from which at the time he waited for the opportunity to extract the good from all the bad that had happened to him.

Job was a very rich man, the richest of all Orientals, yet behind all his calamities was Satan to ruin him.
Job lost all the animals that he had on his farm with his servants and shepherds, in the same way, he lost his 10 children and as if that were not enough, he got sick with horrible sores and in the end his wife cursed him and abandoned him.

13 And one day it came to pass that his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in the house of their firstborn brother,
14 And a messenger came to Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the donkeys were feeding near them,
15 And the Sabeans attacked and captured them, and slew the servants with the edge of the sword; I only escaped to break the news to you.
16 While he was speaking, another came and said: Fire of God fell from heaven, burning the sheep and the shepherds, and consumed them; I only escaped to break the news to you.
17 He was still speaking, and another came and said: The Chaldeans made three squadrons, and attacked the camels and carried them away, and killed the servants with the edge of the sword; And only I escaped to break the news to you.
18 While he was speaking, another came and said: Your sons and your daughters were eating and drinking wine in the house of their firstborn brother;
19 and a great wind came from the side of the desert and struck the four corners of the house, which fell on the young men, and they died; And only I escaped to break the news to you.
20 Then Job arose, and tore his robe, and shaved his head, and fell on the ground and worshiped,
21 and said: Naked I came out of my mother's womb, and naked I will return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; be the name of Jehovah blessed. Job 1: 13-21

There is not a man who has endured as much suffering as Job, who has experienced as many calamities as this man. However, when his three friends visited him to supposedly comfort him, what they did was blame him for the misfortune he was experiencing, because according to them, Job had sinned against God.

In all these accusing accusations, Job kept himself in integrity and God allowed his three friends to get sick and Job took advantage of the calamity of his friends to pray for them and God heard Job's prayer and as soon as his three friends were healed, there was also the Job's healing.

When you have the opportunity to bring out the good in a calamity, make the most of that moment, because the glory of God will cover you to give you victory in the midst of your struggles and adversities.
