The value of truth.

"And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free "

The emphasy of this scripture is not just to know, but to be truthful and to live by the truth. You can know the truth and still be a terrible liar. Knowing the truth alone does not set you free. Your freedom comes when your knowledge of the truth is backed up by your living by the truth and your being truthful. Satan knows the truth very well even more than we do;but has that saved him? The answer is a whooping NO. The truth is that every liar knows the truth about the subject they are lying about.
But the fact is that, the price you will pay for lying is greater than whatever would have happened if you had given the truth. Sooner or later, you will be made to pay heavily for your lie.

A young boy wanted to emback on a journey and didn't want to tell his parents the actual destination. So he lied that he was going on an official trip sponsored by the company he worked with. He had the trip and came back. Later on his parents discovered his actual destination and were terribly furious upon that discovery.First they couldn't trust him anymore. Secondly, he risked his relationship with his family. All these won't have happened if he had been truthful from the very start.Telling lies will cost you the trust of others. No one is willing to trusth a lier. It will cost you your relationship with others and most especially with God. It will as well cost you your integrity and as well your reputation.

Finally, there is no reason good enough for lying. Let us strive to be truthful at all times no matter how had, difficult or dangerous it may seem. The fact is and still remains that the TRUTH will always set you free, and when you will be free, you will be free indeed.

Sincerely, there is everything to gain in been truthful. So let's try our best to be truthful w
always.
