They danger of Dishonour!
This is the reason why many people worship in a church for many years and yet aren't blessed. Some have stayed for years;ten, fifteen, twenty and so on. Some are pioneer members.They are among the people who established the church.They are among the first set of workers the church ever had.Yet their lives are the same.They can't boast of any remarkable change that has occurred in their lives since they joined that church.Yet, someone else who just started coming three months ago or more I already testifying.All you do is to keep jumping around and claiming poineer member or oldest member.The pastor might be heavily anointed,but the dishonour you give to him and the disregard for the anointing upon his life has accounted for your remaining the same.It might not be with open words showing dishonour,but what about the things you say behind him.The gossips you go about gossiping about him.The many people you have caused to withdraw their membership from the church because of your attitude,the things they hear you say outside the church and about the church or the pastor.God is not an author of confusion.His word remains the same. Remember He said ,
"He who receives a prophet in the name of God will receive his reward;and he who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet's reward."
So how do you want to receive the reward when you do not even honour the carrier of the reward.You can never benefit or get any blessing from a person you do not honour including your biological parents.As long as you keep on dishonouring God's messengers sent to shepherd you.You will never get any benefit from them; spiritually and physically.The Bible says they watch over your soul and would give account of you.So have you ever considered what they will say to God about you.Would God be provoked to bless you because of their report about you or would he rather curse you.Have you ever put this into consideration?
Do you know how much pain they go through just for you? Do you know how much attacks he gets on your behalf or because of you? Do you know the number of times he had to deprive himself of food and luxury just to fast on your behalf? If you were to be in his shoes , would you want anyone to dishonour or disregard such sacrifices the way you do?
Remember whatever anyone sows,he/she would reap the same.If you sow dishonour and disrespect,be sure that you will get the same.
