Waiting

We are all waiting for something in this world, be it a believer or a non believer. Some people are waiting for their graduation in university while some are waiting for their marriage to be epic and we are all waiting for one thing or the other, we can actually be waiting for or waiting on something but the waiting I want to talk about is believers waiting.

Isaiah 30:18
"Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!"

As a believer is either you are waiting for God or you are waiting on God, the understanding of this two type of waiting is very important because this is what the devil use to make us lose out on the blessings of God. Some believer are only waiting for promise of God and we use the Israelite in the Bible as an example because they did not actually have trust and faith in God but they only want to get to promise land and does not end well, their waiting was based on promise but not on God.

2 Peter 3:9 -
"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."

Not every opportunity that comes your way is genuinely from God sometimes the devil use these opportunities to bring us something similar to the promises we are waiting for from God but if we are waiting on God we won’t just jump into every opportunity that comes at us, we will wait for God instructions.

We must wait on God and be able to identify God’s promise from what will make us lose the kingdom of God, we wait on God like if he doesn’t help us where can we go? No where. I pray that God should give us understanding on how to wait on him.
