Devotional: Overcoming the barriers of fear towards people.

in HeartChurch5 years ago

I cannot forget that part of my adolescence focused on being a very shy person, that I was very afraid to deal with people because of my great shyness, which affected me emotionally and psychologically for a long time.

As the years passed and after meeting Christ, I asked myself, why did I fear people and why did I feel intimidated by others?

As I was having communion with God and his word, all of this turned out to help me overcome much of the fear of others.

God taught me in his word that all men were made with the same material (Dust from the earth), and that we all had the same biological structure, which led us to be similar in everything.

When we begin to see people from the right perspective and understand that we are made in the image of God, we do not have to experience fear in dealing with people who are like us.

We must understand that in the same way that people are important, we are also important.

The Lord encourages us not to be afraid of anything or anyone. The Lord said to his disciples: “Take courage; I am, fear not! (Matthew 14:27).

When we have a personal relationship with God we must understand that God dwells within us through his Spirit, which helps us build a trusting relationship with the heavenly Father and enables us to stand firm on the mighty rock that is Jesus Christ.

We can overcome fear of people by having a correct perspective of our relationship with God, in which perfect love casts out fear. The perfect love of God, has been poured out in our hearts, by the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

The Holy Spirit guides us to have a harmonious relationship with God and helps us to understand that people are simply equal to each other, with the only difference, that those who confess Christ as Savior, find it easy to overcome fear to all things, including people, because God dwells in his children, through the Holy Spirit.

With God's wisdom we can discover that people are alike in many more ways than they differ. So if the others are basically the same as you, there is no reason to fear them.

So doesn't this make sense? If the other is fundamentally equal to me, there is no reason to fear him.

The important thing in any case, is that we have a balanced idea of the other person and develop an attitude of understanding based on the word of God, in which I should not have a high concept of myself that makes me superior to others and vice versa.
