Exodus 3:1-6 KJV
[1] Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.
[2] And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
[3] And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
[4] And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
[5] And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.
[6] Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.

Yesterday, I published a post titled - Are you ready for revival? Here is the second part of the post and the final part.

Analyzing the passage above I will want us think of these points:

  1. The appearance of the burning bush was something special for preparing Moses for the task that await him ahead. In the same way, God is pouring out this revival to prepare and equip us for the great task ahead of us in these last days. To have a great harvest, we will need accelerated discipleship, and there will be great need to feed a generation of the spiritually hungry people that God has taken out of the deserts of drugs, evil, sin, etc.
Many people and churches are being visited by the divine burning bush but sometimes there are still too many barriers and distraction that turn their faces away from the burning bush.

  2. We see how Moses found himself 40 years in the desert as a period of preparation. The experience he gathered during this period went a long way to help him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt to the promise land. This is a good news for as many people that are going through a tough time right now. I want you to see this period as a period that God is using to prepare you for the task ahead. Don’t think that God has forsaken you, brace yourself up and know that it is a training period.
The world needs revival and this calls for men like Moses who will not look away from the burning bush or be carried away by the worldly things.
