An Eye on Goodness

1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

The word of God is the standard for a victorious life. The world is filled with options whenever we are to make decisions. But we are admonished to prove what's right by using biblical standard.

The way you do your job, is it by God's standard of diligence? The way you treat your family, children, spouse, friends, neighbours, colleagues or brethren, is it the way God really want?

In order to remain committed and profitable, we must hold on to that which is good. Good in this context means what is acceptable before Christ. A study of the Master's lifestyle reveal that He wasn't moved by emotions, people's acceptance, ideologies, approval, but by the will of the Father. Never try to please anyone at the expense of what God says.

In life, no one really cares, but Jesus does.
