Service without Relationship
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
The Church in the present day wants to serve, they want to give, they want to sing, they want to participate fully in every church activities and they forget their relationship with God.
Some people also having had relationship with God Lost it and also continue to serve that's why workers in church today are not Born again, Chorister sing out their voices not the power of God again.
Note this;
-Service is Deceptive
- Service can take over the role of your relationship with God
- Earthly reward is only gotten from service but the fruit of relationship is heaven
WHAT IS SERVICE; Service is the act of helping or doing work for someone.
Service can be to men or to God
You can serve God without being Born again
See Matt. 7:20-23
That scripture is through to the later, some will say lord, Lord;
I healed in your name
I sanged in your name
I preached in your name
I prophesied in you name
But God will say depart from me ye workers of iniquity
WHAT IS RELATIONSHIP
Relationship is the way two or more people are connected. Either by marriage or blood.
Now we are related to Christ by being his bride, that's why Paul said we are waiting for the marriage super.
The Bible said if any man have not the spirit of God, He is not of his.
Note this important points;
- Don't be carried away by your service thinking you'll make heaven by that.
- Let every one that nameth the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.
- Service with relationship is the best thing a man can do to himself.
Conclusion;
One must be saved to serve
Don't let your relationship with God be determined by how others relate with God, let it be determined by how focused you are with God.
