Let's stop running

Their feet run to evil, they rush to shed innocent blood; his thoughts, thoughts of iniquity; destruction and destruction are in their ways. Isaiah 59: 7

Today I was meditating on this word from the prophet Isaiah, which led me to much reflection, since the heart of the people of Israel was completely separated from the Lord.
God was with open arms waiting for the people of Israel to turn away from their iniquities and abominations. God wanted to show that He still loved them and was willing to forgive them and show them their salvation. However, the people's feet ran towards evil.

The people were very depraved, their hands contaminated with blood and their fingers with iniquities. People's lips only spoke lies and all conversation was full of evil.

The voice of the prophet Isaiah shouted around "Let's stop running towards evil." Don't keep shedding innocent blood, stop thinking about all iniquity. However, the heart of the people remained unbridled towards all malice and injustice.

The voice of God demanded them saying: “There is no one who cries out for justice, nor one who judges for the truth, they trust in vanity, and speak vanities; they conceive wickedness, and bring forth iniquity. ”Isaiah 59: 4

This picture of the immoral and spiritual life of the people of Israel in the days of the prophet Isaiah is the same picture that the whole world presents today. The Lord's church must turn away from all these injustices and cry out to God to save us from this wicked generation, loving all evil. As a Christian people, we are called to sanctification and peace. It requires more communion with God and making the most of the quarantine time to sanctify ourselves more in the presence of God in prayer and reading the Bible.
