The need to erect an altar for God

in HeartChurch3 years ago

The saints of God are called to erect altars to God and worship him. An altar is a place where we express God with all sincerity, praise and worship.

It is to the altar that we come with a grateful heart of God and with abundant praise on our lips to sing and exalt the glory of God. In the same way, at the altar we pour out our souls to present our needs before God and request his prompt help.

Since ancient times the holy men of God have erected altars to worship God and present their respective offerings.
Abel is recognized for his faith in God and for having pleased God with the offering that he presented of the best that he had in his flock. Noah is also recognized in history as the man who presented his offering on the altar that he made to God after the 40-day flood on earth. Abraham, known as the father of faith, is recognized for raising altars to God, in the different places that he moved in the land of Canaan.

There are many examples that we can cite of men of God who built altars to communicate and please God. David in the desert when he was being persecuted by King Saul, raised different altars to worship God and ask for help against his enemies.

In the New Testament, our Lord Jesus Christ at dawn went alone to the desert or the mountain and worshiped God. He raised his altar at dawn and reveled in the presence of the Father, then when he came down from the mountain, he came with a great anointing of the Holy Spirit to teach, heal and perform miracles.

It is precisely in the altars that we raise to worship God, where we find the power and divine grace to remain steadfast in the Christian life.

I invite you, dear reader, to erect an altar for the Lord and fill yourself with his glory for a victorious spiritual and natural life.
