Devotional: Blame No One

in HeartChurch3 years ago

I am delighted when I take responsibility for my own actions. I cannot make the mistake of blaming anyone for my own actions. What I do for good or bad has to be my own responsibility.

Many times we waste time blaming God or other people when things go wrong in our lives. The Bible teaches that God cannot tempt anyone to do wrong because evil does not dwell in God. Our disordered desires have a lot to do with the mistakes we make and the consequences they generate.

In James we are taught that: “When someone is tempted, do not say that he is tempted by God; because God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each one is tempted, when by his own lust he is drawn and seduced. " James 1: 13-14 Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960)

We must understand that every act of disobedience brings consequences, which is our responsibility to assume and not to blame God or the people around us. If anyone gains ground in our disobedience, it is Satan, who leads us to malicious temptations that separate us from God's counsel. This he did in the Garden of Edém with Adam and Eve achieving their malicious goal.

Santiago teaches that we must take care of our carnal desires so that we cannot give place to the enemy, because he is in charge of seducing us and attracting us towards evil.

Acquiring this wisdom from God will help us to strengthen our self-control and learn to take responsibility for our actions so as not to blame third parties but to understand that we are the ones who can lead Satan to seduce us and drag us into sin.
