Jehovah is my shepherd; I will lack nothing. Psalm 23: 1-3 King James Version (KJV)

As a woman and a mother I am saddened by what is happening in the world. The economic crisis has increased extreme poverty worldwide and many parents have lost their jobs. Everything is stressful and agonizing.

In the great cities and capitals of the world the panorama of people in the streets asking for bread or alms has increased. People living under bridges and children in the streets asking for something to eat, it is really a drama of great sadness.

The suicide attempt in people who have not been able to control the economic crisis becomes more regrettable. The world panorama is locked in needs for food, housing and health.

Thinking about all these things causes great pain and disappointment in life. As the world lives its tragedy, there are promises from God for those who seek him from the heart and want to serve him with all sincerity and honesty.

God does not have his eyes closed to the things that the world lives, God wants man to seek him and serve him to fulfill all his promises of well-being and blessing.

The Bible teaches that God is our provider. "Jehovah is my shepherd and I will lack nothing." If we seek to live under God's covering, we will lack no good. God will take care of meeting our needs for health, food and shelter. We will lack nothing if we have God as the main shepherd who is aware of his flock.
