My reflection: doing God's will in my life

in HeartChurch3 years ago

Greetings friend. Doing the will of God is a free decision of each person. However, giving up what we personally want in life to consider God's counsel is great wisdom when we seek the best for ourselves.

My reflection today is based on the Gospel of Matthew 7:21, which gives us the best advice to become a child of God and have a very personal relationship with the Lord. If we really want to call God the Lord of our lives, we simply have to align ourselves with his will and make it part of our daily lives.

Not everyone who says to me: Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 7:21 Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960)

God's will teaches us how to relate to our parents, siblings, and friends. In the same way, the will of God teaches us how to have a better relationship with Him and how we can enter the kingdom of heaven.

We cannot continue to lead life in our own way and treat people as we think they could be treated. We have to begin to understand that God's will guides us towards true love of neighbor.

It is not about doing works of charity as we want, but as God teaches in his word that we should do them. Never expect anything in return for what you give, but what you give you should always do as if it were for God.

God's will is centered on what He advises us in His word that we should do and when we do it, we consider God the Lord of our lives.

Do not forget that doing God's will is doing things as they are established in his word, which generates blessings and prosperity for those who do it.
