La ansiedad es un trastorno psicológico que se ha vuelto cada vez más frecuente en nuestra sociedad, sobre todo en estos últimos años en los que nos ha tocado vivir una pandemia terrible que ha cobrado muchísimas vidas y ha dejado daños irreparables. Sentir ansiedad implica sentir temor, angustia y miedo excesivo por situaciones de la vida diaria, por resolver problemas de la cotidianidad e incluso por problemas que aún no existen.

Anxiety is a psychological disorder that has become increasingly common in our society, especially in recent years when we have lived through a terrible pandemic that has claimed many lives and left irreparable damage. Feeling anxiety implies feeling fear, anguish and excessive fear for situations of daily life, for solving everyday problems and even for problems that do not yet exist.

Resulta muy difícil no angustiarse ante tanta incertidumbre que existe a nivel mundial. Muchos cambios en nuestro estilo de vida, algunos hemos perdido nuestros trabajos y nuestra rutina lo que hace que podamos sentir temor y angustia ante las nuevas realidades. Sin embargo, cuando nosotros ponemos nuestra confianza en la Providencia de Dios, toda esa ansiedad se convierte en paz y en confianza. Confiar en la Providencia Divina significa confiar que Dios se encarga de nosotros, de nuestras necesidades.

It is very difficult not to be anxious in the face of so much uncertainty that exists worldwide. Many changes in our lifestyle, some of us have lost our jobs and our routine, which makes us feel fear and anxiety in the face of new realities. However, when we put our trust in God's Providence, all that anxiety turns into peace and confidence. Trusting in Divine Providence means trusting that God takes care of us, of our needs.

Esto no significa que los problemas desaparecen por arte de magia, simplemente no permitimos que la angustia se transforme en ansiedad y temor que paraliza nuestras acciones y afecta nuestra salud física, mental y emocional. Porque confiamos que Dios nos provee los medios para que podamos solventar eso problemas y salgamos adelante.

This does not mean that the problems magically disappear, we simply do not allow the anguish to turn into anxiety and fear that paralyzes our actions and affects our physical, mental and emotional health. Because we trust that God provides us with the means to solve these problems and move forward.

Cuando hablo de la Providencia me refiero a la certeza de que nuestro Padre cuida y se encarga de todas sus criaturas, así como viste las flores del campo con los mejores y más bellos colores, de las aves y de todos los animales a quienes les provee alimentos, mucho más hace por la creación humana.

When I speak of Providence I refer to the certainty that our Father cares for and takes care of all His creatures, just as He dresses the flowers of the field with the best and most beautiful colors, the birds and all the animals to whom He provides food, so much more does He do for the human creation.

Lo que sucede es que muchas veces, no somos realmente conscientes de lo que Dios nos provee. Primero nos provee de capacidades, habilidades y talentos para que podamos servirnos de ellos y poder obtener los medios básicos para subsistir.

What happens is that many times, we are not really aware of what God provides us. He first provides us with capacities, abilities and talents so that we can use them to obtain the basic means to subsist.

Por otro lado, Jesús nos enseña en el Padre Nuestro que Dios nos provee del pan de cada día, es decir, cada día tiene su afán, no nos dice que debemos pedir al pan de toda una semana o de todo un mes.

Esta frase me ha ayudado mucho a no caer en estados de ansiedad; trato de vivir el día y lidiar con las situaciones presentes y existentes, dejando para el mañana las situaciones del mañana.
