We live in a hopeless and tired society, in frank and worrying moral and spiritual decline; depression and suicides are sadly more and more prevalent in this alienating society. The culture of death wants to impose itself through the states, laws and the media. According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO ) in 2019, each year more people lose their lives to suicide than to HIV, breast cancer or malaria, or even to murders and armed conflicts.

  The factors that influence and increase suicide indicators in the world are diverse and varied; social inequality, economic crises, terminal illnesses, love disappointments, bullying, job loss, homelessness, etc ... Undoubtedly these are very difficult things to overcome, but what makes it more difficult is the lack of faith and the despair into which those who, devoid of spiritual armor, succumb to discouraging circumstances fall ... Going to fight a battle devoid of a sword (the truth - the Word) and without armor (prayer, faith, hope and love) , it's crazy and stupid. Spiritual intelligence in Christ, that is, knowing oneself with a purpose in life for Christ's sake, protects, prepares and at the same time strengthens the soul to face, with the armor of God (Ephesians 6, 10-18), to the adversities of life, without losing peace, without losing hope, without losing joy, and most importantly, without giving up the gift of life.

  The apostle Paul, in 2 Corinthians 5: 7-8, reminds us that one lives by faith and not by sight. By faith we can see the future with hope; by faith we can, in the face of bad weather, put on a good face; by faith we can overcome the most difficult tests; by faith we trust in the eschatological promise of Christ of a future world of peace, justice and love; through faith in Christ Jesus, life acquires a transcendental and substantial meaning.

  Let us not be deceived, the culture of death has come to steal, kill and destroy, but Christ has come to give us life and life in abundance (Jn 10, 10). Hopelessness and death are not the solution, the solution is Christ, with Him and in Him, man is reconciled with God, with his neighbor and with himself, it is then when, transformed his heart, he begins to mold reality for the better , begins to be an instrument of salvation and of the love that comes from God. Whoever rests in Christ receives a preview of the last happiness already in this world; In his Word and in His promise of love and eternal life, confirmed in the prodigious sign of his Resurrection, our faith and hope rest and nourish; engine that moves and fills life with purpose.

  Vivimos en una sociedad desesperanzada y cansada, en franco y preocupante declive moral y espiritual; la depresión y los suicidios son lamentablemente cada vez más frecuentes en esta sociedad alienante. La cultura de la muerte quiere imponerse a través de los estados, las legislaciones y los medios de comunicación. Según datos de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) en 2019, cada año pierden la vida más personas por suicidio que por VIH, cáncer de mama o paludismo, o incluso por asesinatos y conflictos bélicos.

  Son diversos y variados los factores que influyen y acrecientan los indicadores de suicidio en el mundo; la desigualdad social, las crisis económicas, las enfermedades terminales, decepciones amorosas, bullying, pérdida de empleo, indigencia, etc... Sin duda estás son cosas muy difíciles de sobre llevar, pero lo que lo hace más difícil es la falta de fe y la desesperanza en la que caen quienes, desprovisto de una armadura espiritual, sucumben ante las circunstancias desalentadoras... Ir a luchar una batalla desprovisto de espada (la verdad - la Palabra) y sin armadura (oración, fe, esperanza y amor), es una locura y una necedad. La inteligencia espiritual en Cristo, es decir, el saberse amados y con un propósito en la vida por causa de Cristo, protege, prepara y a la vez fortalece el alma para hacer frente, con la armadura de Dios (Efesios 6, 10-18), a las adversidades de la vida, sin perder la paz, sin perder la esperanza, sin perder la alegría, y lo más importante, sin renunciar al don de la vida.

  El apóstol Pablo, en 2 Corintios 5, 7-8, nos recuerda que se vive por fe y no por vista. Por fe podemos ver el futuro con esperanza; por fe podemos, ante el mal tiempo, poner buena cara; por fe podemos superar las pruebas más difíciles; por fe confiamos en la promesa escatológica de Cristo de un mundo futuro de paz, de justicia y de amor; por la fe en Cristo Jesús, la vida cobra sentido trascendental y sustancial.

  No nos dejemos engañar, la cultura de la muerte ha venido a hurtar, a matar y a destruir, más Cristo ha venido a darnos vida y vida en abundancia (Jn 10, 10). La desesperanza y la cultura de la muerte no son la solución, la solución es Cristo, con Él y en Él, el hombre se reconcilia con Dios, con el prójimo y consigo mismo, es entonces cuando, transformado su corazón, comienza a moldear la realidad para bien, comienza a ser instrumento de la salvación y del amor que viene de Dios. Quien descansa en Cristo recibe un adelanto de la felicidad postrera ya en este mundo; En Su Palabra y en Su promesa de amor y de vida eterna, confirmada en el prodigioso signo de Su Resurrección, descansa y se alimenta nuestra fe y nuestra esperanza; motor que mueve y llena de propósito la vida.

  Que el Espíritu Santo inspire en nosotros todo lo bueno que de Él puede proceder. Amén.
