Let us be prepared, let us always act with love and humility
Don Pancho was the richest man in the city; he had a prosperous company, the best cars, his house was the most beautiful and neat of all, and his family... his family was the best, he constantly said. Don Pancho felt he was the owner of the truth and the owner of everything... In his behavior he only found righteousness and justification, on the other hand, in that of others, stain and condemnation. Years passed and with them Don Pancho's arrogance and petulance increased. He treated everyone according to his social status, the wealthy he treated with education and the less favored, with contempt. Don Pancho believed that he was invulnerable. But the day least expected, the political situation in the country changed and a series of expropriations left him with nothing ... Overnight he had lost everything... The resounding fall of Don Pancho left him in a very tough condition and undesirable. Now, without the coating of money, her pride and his smugness had become very heavy burdens. The rich despised him and those abused by him avoided or feared him, some hated him. Alone and ashamed, Don Pancho discovered, in the worst way, the truth that sooner or later every man discovers, that we are all vulnerable and fallible, and that humility and love are great and valuable virtues that every man must cultivate with care and care. dedication.
As harsh as it may seem, not infrequently God speaks to us through events that spoil our plans. Don Pancho would not have been able to understand the value of humility and love of neighbor, if his economic situation had not changed. Had everything been the same, Don Pancho's arrogance and petulance would have remained. In the eyes of men, Don Pancho had a resounding fall, but in the loving gaze of God, Don Pancho did not fall but rather gained momentum to be able to rise. In Luke 12, 45-46, perhaps we can see the story of Don Pancho reflected:
"But if that servant says in his heart:" My lord is slow to come ", and starts beating the servants and the maids, eating and drinking and getting drunk, the lord of that servant will come the day he does not wait and the moment he does not know, he will separate him and point out his fate among the infidels "
Some walk through life full of evil and without fear of God, vainly believing that things will always be favorable to them. But worse than these are the hypocrites who, occupying important places within the Church of Christ, carry a double standard, playing to deceive God and neighbor. God has a day and an hour reserved for all of them. The followers of Christ, knowing the truth, we must bear this in mind; We will be held accountable for everything. Therefore, let us remain humble, in prayer and in harmony with the Word of God, we love God and our neighbor with sincerity (Mt 22, 37-40), we follow in all the commands and the will of God (1 Peter 2, 15) .
May the Holy Spirit inspire in us all the good that can come from Him. Amen.

Don Pancho era el hombre más rico de la ciudad; tenía una empresa próspera, los mejores coches, su casa era la más bella y pulcra de todas y su familia... su familia era la mejor, decía él constantemente. Don pancho se sentía dueño de la verdad y dueño de todo... En su proceder sólo encontraba rectitud y justificación, en cambio, en el de los demás, mancha y condena. Pasaron los años y con ellos aumentó la soberbia y la petulancia de Don Pancho. Trataba a cada cual según el estatus social que tuviera, a los adinerados los trataba con educación y a los menos favorecidos, con desprecio. Don Pancho creía que era invulnerable. Pero el día menos pensado la situación política en el país cambió y una serie de expropiaciones lo dejaron sin nada... De la noche a la mañana lo había perdido todo... La estrepitosa caída de Don Pancho lo dejó en una condición muy dura y poco deseable. Ahora, sin el revestimiento del dinero, su soberbia y su petulancia se habían convertido en cargas muy pesadas. Los ricos lo despreciaban y los maltratados por él lo evitaban o le temían, algunos le odiaban. Solo y avergonzado, Don Pancho descubrió, de la peor manera, la verdad que tarde o temprano descubre todo hombre, que todos somos vulnerables y falibles, y que la humildad y el amor son grandes y valiosas virtudes que todo hombre debe cultivar con esmero y dedicación.
Por duro que parezca, no pocas veces Dios nos habla a través de acontecimientos que echan a perder nuestros planes. Don Pancho no habría podido entender el valor de la humildad y del amor al prójimo, sí su situación económica no hubiera cambiado. De haber seguido todo igual, la soberbia y la petulancia de Don Pancho se habrían mantenido. A los ojos de los hombres, Don Pancho tuvo una caída estrepitosa, pero en la mirada amorosa de Dios, Don Pancho no caía sino que cogía impulso para poder elevarse. En Lucas 12, 45-46, quizás podamos ver reflejada la historia de Don Pancho:
"Pero si aquel siervo se dice en su corazón: "Mi señor tarda en venir", y se pone a golpear a los criados y a las criadas, a comer y a beber y a emborracharse, vendrá el señor de aquel siervo el día que no espera y en el momento que no sabe, le separará y le señalará su suerte entre los infieles"
Algunos andan por la vida llenos de maldad y sin temor de Dios, creyendo vanamente que las cosas siempre le serán favorables. Pero peor que estos son los hipócritas que, ocupando lugares importantes dentro de la Iglesia de Cristo, llevan una doble moral, jugando a engañar a Dios y al prójimo. A todos Dios les tiene reservado un día y una hora. Los seguidores de Cristo, conocedores de la verdad, debemos tener esto muy presente; de todo se nos pedirá cuentas. Por ello mantengámonos humildes, en oración y en armonía con la Palabra de Dios, amemos a Dios y al prójimo con sinceridad (Mt 22, 37-40), sigamos en todo los mandatos y la voluntad de Dios (1 Pedro 2, 15).
Que el Espíritu Santo inspire en nosotros todo lo bueno que de Él puede proceder. Amén.
